FHH Introduces the Watch Tablet Sales Tool
Fine watch aficionados often lament that they know more about the timepieces in the case than the sales associates behind the counter. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) addresses this issue with the Watch Tablet, a thin touchscreen tablet PC that puts vast amounts of watch-related information at the associates’ fingertips. The Watch Tablet contains information on many topics, including 29 FHH partner brands, watchmaking and gemology, manufacturing and craftsmanship, and watch movements and complications. All content is interactive and much of it is illustrated with animation. The Watch Tablet is updated regularly via the FHH's secure content management system. You can learn more at HauteHorlogerie.org.
Oris ProDiver Chronograph
The new 51mm Oris ProDiver features an innovative safety system: the rotating unidirectional bezel must be lifted before it can be turned. A vulcanized rubber ring makes it easier to manipulate the bezel. The ProDiver's titanium case houses a black DLC-coated safety barrier to protect the crown and pushers while still allowing them to be screwed into the case, ensuring water-resistance to 1000 meters. The ProDiver also offers a self-regulating helium valve for those who dive in deep-sea conditions. Oris ProDiver Chronograph Specifications: Ref: 674 7630 71 54 RS/MB? Diameter: 51.0 mm? Automatic mechanical movement with chronograph function. Centralised hour and minute displays, small second at 9 o'clock. Centralised second counter, decentralised minute and hour counters. Date at 6 o'clock.? Multi-piece titanium case. Screwed case back with special metres-feet scale engravings. Sapphire glass domed on both sides with inner anti-reflective coating.? Seamaster Electronic
Here are a few pictures of my brother's Seamaster Electronic (Bulova movement?). Been sat in a draw for 30 years. Opened the case back and changed the battery and it sprang into life. Case seal in a pretty poor state and will need changing. Not a thin watch
I want to wear a diamond
Recently, as per a thread that I started in the other Watch Topic section. I was thinking of getting a Rolex DD. To do that I would have to trade one of my Pateks -5127R or 5167A.Well, after a lot of thought and reading what other members said, I decided NOT to go with that idea. But then I happen to see Jorge's photo of his stunning 5146P and I was in horology love:banged:And the thought of getting one - ultimate PM marked by a diamond at 6 o'clock got me excited. As I would have to sell/trade + cash both of mine. What do others members think?Bad idea or not? Please feel free to include photos, just to help
