Van Cleef & Arpels Jules Verne Les Voyages Watches
Each year Van Cleef & Arpels releases a series of limited edition watches that revolve around a certain theme. One of the themes this year was Jules Verne and the concept of discovery and exploration. To this end Van Cleef & Arpels created a few limited edition models to memorialize some of the places that Jules Verne described in his writings. There are also a few other pieces that expand on the concept of the exploration theme.Pictured here are some of the pieces that directly address the stories of Jules Verne. This is not however a depiction of the entire collection. There are two types of watches here. Two that contain more standard Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 846 three-hand automatic mechanical movements, and two that contain a special retrograde hour and minute movement that is based on a small JLC movement and has an exclusive to Van Cleef & Arpels module in it. Which first AP to get and what to trade?
Hi everyone, I'm comsidering my first AP and was wondering what's the difference in these two David SW has for sale? Also, what do you recommend I trade towards it from my small collection? I'm definitely keeping my gold GMT, but not sure what else I should hold on to. How do APs wear? Does anyone have this particular model I'm interested in? I have a 7 inch wrist. Apologize for all the questions, but I want to be informed as much as possible before pulling the trigger. Watches are listed in my signature. Is Continental Jewelers (in Washington) an Omega AD?
I'm trying to find them in Omega's official list and am having trouble doing so.I hear this place get recommended often enough, but is it an AD?(There seems to be an AD down the road from Continental Jewelers with a different name and address)

New Submariner keeps stopping
I purchased a new Submariner in early December of 2011. It is my everyday watch. Since that time it has quit running on 4 different occasions. After the first time I simply reset the time and it worked fine for several weeks. After it quit the second time I notified the store where I purchased it. Since I was in Arizona at the time they gave me the name of another store (within their chain) that I could take it. The watchmaker kept it for about a week and it worked perfectly. He said he could send it to the factory or I could take it and see if it happens again. It stopped again and I'm just waiting to get home so I can return to the place of purchase. My questions are, has anyone experienced this problem and since it is virtualy new is there some type of lemon law?
