Breaking News: Impressive Results For Richard Mille And F.P. Journe At Only Watch
It was a given from the beginning that the Patek Phillipe was going to be the top priced lot of the day here at the Only Watch auction. The question was which watch would take 2nd place. The two top contenders were the Richard Mille Tourbillon RM 27-02 Rafael Nadal and the F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain Bleu. The Richard Mille had the advantage of being based on a watch that has a much higher list price (about $800k), and (and this does matter to some) the exact watch in the sale today is a prototype that was actually game – worn by Nadal during the 2015 season including at the French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open. Quick rant...
Last year my 233 had to be serviced because the hour hand would get stuck around midnight. Even though all my watches see very limited use because of my heavy rotation I was ok with it since I had the watch for a few years and I bought it used... surprisingly, I found the major service reasonable at around $800. More importantly, they did a good job and did not damage my watch or left any dust/lint under the crystal (I've read the many horror stories from PASC so I was worried as hell)... and all in about 2 months if I recall correctly. Fast forward to this past weekend... my PAM 305 now seems to have an issue that will require servicing. Seems to be getting stuck around 10:45 pm and when adjusting the date by moving the hour hand it does not click every hour like it used to (can still hear the click but it's very faint now and weak on the notches if you know what I mean). So another trip to Panerai BH... can only cross my fingers that this time will also be a reasonable service cost

Hi there am I right in thinking the dd40 was launched in 2015? I am considering getting one in gold. How often do Rolex usually update their watches do you think this will be around for another 5 years or so without any changes to their day date range? Thank you

Hi Rolex Lovers!Here some quick shots of my new 16710. I'm more than happy with this nearly full set in a sharp condition. I've got some 1675, 16700 and 16710 some years ago but unfortunately they were all flipped and replaced over the years with a 116710LN and a 116710BLRO... So after more than 7 years without one of the older references I've decided that I have to go back to the roots... :)Here we go!Thanks and have a great day!
