Fortis Marinemaster Vintage Limited Edition
This year Fortis marks its 100th anniversary and to celebrate, the brand is issuing a limited re-edition of the Marinemaster. First distributed at the beginning of the 1940s, that model became one of the brand’s most popular watches. Over the years, the look of the watch was updated, and the 100th anniversary re-edition is inspired by the model produced during the 1970s. The Marinemaster Vintage LE is a 40mm automatic chronograph in polished stainless steel on leather strap, available with orange or blue dial highlights. 15450ST for a guy
What do you guys think about the 15450ST?Tried one the other day and I thought it was fantastic. I have slightly less than 6 inch wrists and am thinking the 41mm would be too large. Curious for honest opinions if this would be the best one for my 'size' and how it looks on me. Also I am really curious about the water resistance. Their website says it has a screw lock crown, what does that mean? How many seals are there and really what does that mean for my lifestyle? I wear Rolex and Omega in the shower, hot tub and ocean because I hate taking my watches off and enjoy being able to do those things. How about this reasoning for no 3rd year warranty
I'm really struggling with whether to get the 3rd year warranty too. The downsides being that (a) you have to spend a whole month of that 3rd year without your watch, and (b) there's some small chance that the watch will be injured in some way during shipping or at Clearwater (think stories of new scratches). And the upside to getting the 3rd year warranty seems to be only somewhat compelling, since I'd imagine it's unlikely that there will be a problem with the watch in year 3 if there's been nothing wrong during years 1 and 2.
