Movement Hands-On Series Episode 1: MB&F HM6 Space Pirate
With this?article, we are launching a new series of articles dedicated to?watch movements. In this irregular series, we will be looking at calibers that we consider to be?historically important, technically challenging and unique, or just quite simply fascinating. Today, we begin with a very close and detailed look at the?movement beating inside?the brand new?MB&F HM6 Space Pirate. We need to point out that in this series, all our attention will be dedicated to the movement (which we will always look at uncased,?and not through a sapphire case back),?and we will?not go into a detailed?discussion related to?the concept behind the watch in question C as you will always be able to (re-)acquaint yourselves with it in our original hands-on articles. Without further ado, let's dive head first into the amazing world of MB&F movements and, more specifically, that of the MB&F HM6 Space Pirate. It is a?lesser known fact that inside every MB&F Horological Machine there is a bespoke
26401ro problems?
ok im still on the hunt for one and its proving to be a challenge to get the right price.... ive had an offer of a trade for my 116688 YMII and my 2006 Kermit for a 2012 26401ro RG44 complete set......1- what do we think of this deal? (kermit is watch and box only)2-was there problems with this generation I of AP 44's?I dont want to jump in and regret it... the AP has books but its never been serviced
Any newer AT Chrono owners on here?
Was checking out one of those the other day on strap, that's a stunning watch, surprised it doesn't seem to be more popular here...
Vintage seamster in the wild
Saw someone yesterday wearing his dad's old seamaster. He was pretty sure it was from about 1949-50. Non- original bracelet, splotchy dial but case and crystal in good shape. Running well apparently. He was wearing it since his own 30 year old seamaster was in for service. Boy did it look small. But pretty good for an old watch that apparently has been sitting around in a drawer for quite a few years.:cheersBtw the thread title seamster is due to the stupid spell check, sorry- no offense intended to all omega fans!:
Omega Broad Arrow in GOLD
Beauty is in the beholder but I can't think of a more stunning watch at sensible (when preowned) prices. The movement is well regarded also.If anyone sees either of these two come up for sale on Ebay with no reserve please give me a poke.
