Interview With MB&F Watches Founder Max Bsser
Previous contributor to aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer Tom Mulraney posted a nice interview with MB&F's owner Max Busser. To be honest, most of the time I could care less about interviews with watch executives. It is a lot of "blowing smoke up their own asses." However, Max Busser is different, and the information provided in the interview is quite interesting if you care at all about the business side of the watch industry - especially when it comes to popular independents like MB&F (a brand that I cover pretty often).Read the Tom Mulraney interview of Max Busser here.
A few questions about the new carbon cases
How well do you guys think they hold up? I know the diver is relatively new, but I've seen some of those infamous earlier versions of the forged carbons from AP being absolutely worn out.I sold my 15300 a few months ago and have been looking for something a bit more refreshing and new in a sense. What do you guys think about the Carbon or ceramic diver? Or should I go with the normal stainless version? The only reservation I have about the carbon diver is my uncertainty about its quality and also if black would look good.Any suggestions?

My friend might be selling this...which one is this?
Hi everyone, I have been sort of hanging around this part of TRF incognito, posting replies every so often at the stunning PP pics you guys post. I have come across this watch recently that a friend might be selling. I am not sure which model this is. Is this particular one desirable? Is it part of the lines of PP that people are on waiting list and paying a premium for. Thanks everyone for helping a newbie PP admirer. BTW, that is my wrist that the watch is mounted on. Domed sapphire?
Maybe silly question, but why did Rolex move away from domed glass? Modern aesthetics? Due to anti-reflective capabaility of domed sapphire? Sure there's a simple explanation I'm not aware of. I know the black bay fifty eight has a slight dome. Just love the look of classic glass. It's my greatest motivation to picking up a classic sub rather than modern. Any insight would be appreciated.
