Trade a RO for a ROO?
Curious what your thoughts might be on trading a RO 15400 for a ROO? I was looking at either the Safari, Panda or the Navy as it is my fav color. Any thoughts, suggestions, perhaps other considerations? Value-wise, is it a smart thing to do?I'm interested in a leather strap rather than bracelet. I like my 15400 and would be very happy keeping it, but curious what you all think about the trade.
Seamaster AT or Deville Prestige?
Hello there,It's my first time writing here I'm going to buy a fine watch to wear on a daily basis and found these two:It's really hard to choose between them, they both look nice. The Deville Prestige is 32.7 mm, automatic and wather resistant and the Seamaster AT is 30 mm, quartz and water proof. BTW, I'm a 31 year old woman and have a pretty small wrist. Will be glad to have some opinoin here,Thanks
My gold brown Medici's fifth birthday coming up so . . .
I thought I would post some photos to show how it has aged. When new:Today:It's gotten darker and softer over the years but is still my favorite Speedy Pro strap.Fr. John?
SMP America's Cup?
I visited a watch dealer today and found one of these on display. It wasn't in the best condition, but not bad at all. The bezel had a few scratches as does the bracelet (which can easily be polished out). All the papers/box are included. The guy was willing to trade me with my newly aquired 2254.50 plus 500$. I love the chrono and I like this even more because it's the America's Cup Edition. The dial looks better with it. om135.jpgShould I go for it?
dont know if post is getting thru w/pics
Hello everyone- I am delighted to find such an informative forum!I have a dilemma, My husband bought a Rolex watch in 1988 for $8,000. The jewelry store where it was purchased provided an Insurance Appraisal which included a retail value of $15,500. When I went to a very reputable dealer yesterday, the gentleman told me that the appraisal makes no mention of the serial number and the model number had a typo 180388 s/b 18038. Plus upon closer inspection the serial number inside the watch had been scratched off and that I would be unable to sell it. I am absolutely sick over this. The original Jewelry store is still in business (after 35 years in the same town) Does anyone have an opinion on how I can approach this with them? Do you think that they will be interested in making this right? Thank you!
