Coming to you live from the grand theater in Geneva, watchmaking's top prize, the “AIGUILLE D’OR” has been presented to Breguet's Classique Chronométrie 7727. This simple appearing watch is anything but, and actually represents years of development, six new patents, and innovation in not only high-frequency calibers, but also magnetism and materials, all in a thin elegant case with welded lugs and an engine-turned dial that is true Breguet at its very core. How different is the discontinued electric blue, compared to the blue on say a current SMP?In pictures it looks roughly similar to the blue in the prior version of the Rolex Sub . . . haven't seen the Omega electric blue in real life yet though.

Hi all! First time poster here. I have long been into watches, and have recently received a special gift for my 25th birthday, my fathers Rolex datejust. I remember seeing this watch throughout my entire life, and to say I'm excited would be an understatement. Anyway, I'd like to know the reference and as much about this watch as possible, and I'll attach three pictures I just took. He purchased the watch in Switzerland while on vacation there, in the early 1980's, he thinks it might have been 1982 but he's not entirely sure. I know it's 36mm with a jubilee bracelet, a smooth bezel, and what seems like a black or maybe even a slight matte black dial. It has just returned from it's second service by Rolex in the over the 30+ years the watch has been alive, and I think it's looking great. New acrylic crystal, polished, certain parts of movement replaced, etc. Anyway, tell me what you think, and I'd really love to hear more about this watch from true experts. Tell me everything and anythi
