A few weeks ago we gave you an early look at the Monoposto, the first mechanical watch from Autodromo, a cool, well-conceived upstart based right here in NYC. Inspired by mid-century Italian grand prix cars, the Monoposto combines serious motoring heritage with very wearable style. Today we give you a hands-on look at this limited edition automatic.At 43mm, the Monoposto is starting to get up there in size, but it wears nicely. The tapered case sits nicely on the wrist and the thin, turned bezel makes the watch appear a millimeter or two smaller than it really is. The wire lugs might make changing straps a little fiddly, but they are pitched at just the right angle to keep the watch sitting nicely. I don't know much about the serial numbers for AP divers but I am about to close on a new AP Diver. Do I need to ask what the serial number is or anything like that or will this new watch be fine? I don't think I'm going to be trading and selling any time soon or buying for an investment. I just like the watch but of course I want to get a watch with a story if possible.Let me know your thoughts.
