Panerai Novelties SIHH 2015
For 2015, Officine Panerai goes back again to its roots as a historic supplier of instruments for the Italian navy and releases a quartet of new iterations on popular models as well as one reissue from the heritage collection. Coverage of the first model, the most complicated one: Radiomir 1940 with equation of time, deserved separate coverage and can be found in a separate post. The remaining model iterations constitute three Panerai Luminor Submersible watches, one Panerai Radiomir, and one special novel reissue. First, three new models of the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 with flyback chronograph function. These maintain the large 47mm case size that somehow still wears small due to short lugs. Being built in titanium reduces the weight and so does using a flexible rubber caoutchouc strap. December Watch Winner Round-Up
During December 2010 you readers had the chance to win not one, but seven timepieces here on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. I usually ask winners to give me images and a review of the watches, but given that there were a lot of winners for December, I thought it would just be nice to do a pictorial post with "wrist shots." One of the winners is missing as I didn't get shots from them yet - but I will include an image of winner of the Magrette Moana Pacific PVD watch winner ASAP. I am really thrilled that everyone is enjoying their new watches.? Congrats again to the winners, thanks again to the sponsors, and keep trying in the future if you haven't won a watch yet. I will keep these up as long as you all enjoy them.
15400 Royal Oak dials
Lots of opinions shared on the forum lately about the various dials on the Royal Oak. Great discussions. Personally, I struggle with being able to read some dials without my readers on, (sucks getting old). The new ruthenium just does't do it for me, to my eye it just has no pop, not interesting, no offence to any owners. The blue would be redundant ion my collection plus the surcharge. The black and silver are my two considerations. Both have their benefits, not concerned about opinions as to what is best. For those who have seen both side by side Here is my question - Which colour dial is the most legible?Thx
