Nixon, the California-based watch brand, wants a lucky aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer winner to wear a Steelcat timepiece for the rest of the summer. The Steelcat is a large 48mm wide, steel cased watch available in three styles. Inside the watch is a Swiss quartz chronograph movement which also has the date. According to Nixon, the Steelcat is made for the "waterman's life." Funny since steel sinks and cats tend to dislike water. Though as a diver, it is water resistant to 300 meters so perhaps sinking is a good thing. It certainly has a fun surfing flair to it. Attached to the watch is a custom silicon strap. Went to buy the Jumbo 15202ST. As usual not available. Found this one, had it in mind since long but never seen it in flesh. It's a beauty, really no photos can do it justice. Could not resist and bought it. Tax free but no discount despite my 45 min haggling trials.Sorry for the poor quality photos.

My new (and first) PP 5711
Well first of all, as several of you know I wasn't sure which PP to buy so I solicited opinions/suggestions from you all on this forum. After weighing all the different possibilities I decided to purchase a new 5711/01A as my first PP and honestly, I couldn't be happier. I decided to park my Daytona and use this one as my daily watch. My Daytona shows plenty of wear with scratches and such but I purchase watches to wear so I expect this one to be no different. Once again THANKS to all for helping me over the hump on making a decision. Here are some pics.
