Showing at WatchTime IBG 2014: Armin Strom Gravity Date Fire
WatchTime and noted watch collector and expert Jeff Kingston have teamed up again for the 2014 edition of the popular Inside Basel.Geneva series of collector events, kicking off September 5 in Chicago. Among the core sponsoring watch brands is indie brand Armin Strom, which will showcase its new Armin Strom Gravity Date Fire at the events. The Armin Strom Gravity Date Fire, with its 18k rose gold case, is the most luxurious of the quartet of Gravity Date watches each named for one of the four elements introduced at this year’s Baselworld watch fair. The others include the Gravity Date Air (in a titanium case), Gravity Date Water (in a stainless steel case) and Gravity Date Earth (in a stainless steel/black PVD case). Each of the watches is limited to 100 pieces and each contains the new Armin Strom in-house movement, Caliber ADD14, which features a date display whose mechanism is situated on the same axis as a 24-hour display.Like the original Armin Strom Gravity watch, whic
ROO - Should I
Guys, what are the collectives thoughts on the Offshore black with red stitching? I had a Safari, liked it but somehow wore it very little. Then I had a chance to trade it out for a piece I couldn't do without and was able to receive more for it than I ever thought I would. So I moved it. I have a FC 44 and a 15400, 6 rolexes, 4 Pateks and a Lange. So I am not trying to fill any holes.I just think the black with white and red is a good combo. What is the best color combo on the 42mm Offshore?
question about Omega Olympic watch
Hi allI'm new here, an have a question about the Omega Olympic watches.(wasn't able to find an answer through the searches)I've been interested in getting the Omega Men's Speedmaster Olympic Edition Automatic Chronograph Watch #3516.20.00 Saw it advertised durign the Beijing Olympics but noticed the back does not have the Beijing logo(photo borrowed from el-piloto, sorry wasn't able to find a good one elsewhere)Did any of the Omega's come with the face of the #3516.20.00 and the Beijing logo back? The only ones I've found on the Ogema site with the Beijing logo and steel case only have a black face :(
315 & 324 Movement
Most of us are aware of the issue with the sticking date on the 324 movement.I have had the privilege of wearing several different Patek timepieces fitted with the 324 movement and never had an issue with the date.I now find myself happily and fortunate in a position to buy a Calatrava 5127.The two pieces that I have been looking at are from different years. One is fitted with the older 315 workhorse and the other with the newer (current) 324 workhorse.Given the chance, which movement would you prefer? Is a slower beat better than a faster one?Is a more smoothly moving second hand better than a slightly more jerky one? Please help me with your thoughts and experiences of each movement.
5726/1A-001 Incoming
Just finalized my first PP purchase. I should have a new 5726 by Wednesday morning. I'll post some pictures when I get it. I appreciate all of your enabling pictures. I don't know how this ends, but perhaps it will slow down a bit.
