RO water resistance question
I was wearing my 15450 37mm Royal Oak doing the dishes my wrist was submerged in warm water for about minute. I wasn't thinking I normally take it off to do dishes. How ever around the crystal on the back and even on the edge of the back crystal I noticed a somewhat hard gunk. Now what ever it is wont come off the crystal. Could it be glue? Have I done something bad? Their does not seem to be any moister in the case. I did try to take pictures you will have to zoom in. I love my RO but is seems super fragile. Thanks for any help. signed an over protective watch owner. :)Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Royal Oak Offshore model with the best legibility?
Which 42mm Offshore Chrono model do you feel has the best legibility? As much as I love the ROO lineup I find that for the most part they are somewhat difficult to read at a quick glance; more fashion than function. I have owned a Rubberclad and a Black Themes and both were ok for legibility but not great. I have a Diver (black dial) which is probably the most legible ROO model that A.P. makes but since I am shopping for a Chrono let's leave the Diver non-chrono out of this discussion. Maybe the new 2014+ ceramic with black dial and red accents?

Please recommend horological books
Hi all, I have just finished reading about John Harrison and the longitude problem. It really got me thinking and I would appreciate some members thoughts on good reads. I'm fascinated by how they made clocks and more recently the inner workings of watches. Thanks Andy
Next move - Please help!
Hi AllI have a question which I've been thinking over for the past few weeks. Initially, I thought it was crazy but I'm becoming more and more certain about going ahead with it. I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.My current Rolex collection consists of: DaytonaC White, SD4K, GMT II BLNR, GMT 16700 pepsi and a Hulk (incoming). Im thinking of trading all of these for a Daytona Platinum. Given I want to minimise the amount of cash I need to add, the Platona will be second hand.So far I see the positives as:-Consolidation/ simplification of my collection is good as the novelty of choice is waring off for me-I would love to be a one watch person (that will never happen but maybe one Rolex will)-I get (in my opinion) the ultimate RolexThe swap would leave me with some affordable beaters, a Royal Oak and a TAG Heuer Monaco (neither of these two can be traded).I guess my questions are:1.Would you do the trade if you were in my position and2.Can you recommend any UK based dealers to spea
