Advice on Seamaster Pro Professional Quartz
So I picked-up a Seamaster Pro Quartz full size without the bracelet and I am having a heck of a time finding a strap that looks good with the blue. I have an opportunity to pick-up an OEM bracelet for about $300. That puts me into the watch like $1400 which I think would be tough to make back if I sold the watch. Question is: do I drop the $300 or keep trying blue straps to see what works? I just bought a Hirsch natural rubber in blue used and that is incoming. What a dilemma!
First visit to a Patek boutique
Well just came back from the PP boutique in Paris, and it's clear that it became my favorite brand with Rolex, tried 4 watches that interested me, 3 Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut, I loved the quality, look and feel of them, the perfect finition, the beautiful movements. Now I understand the reputation of the brand and number of followers which swear by that brand.I have definitely decided to get as soon as possible a 5712, blue dial, and one day if possible get also an Aquanaut in SS with rubber band. The watches are really perfect, nothing to say about quality and style, it's perfection.
Aquanaut for small wristers
Hi all,Have always set my eye on a 5711 as my ultimate grail, but with the onslaught of new Aquanaut owners I must say my interest is being piqued.. Whatever with the almost unanimous consensus that it is the most comfortable daily wearer around..For me fit is key (which is why I have been disappointed with many previous targets like the AP Jumbo), especially with my chicken sized 6.0 inch wrist..Can I get feedback from Aquanaut owners with similarly small wrists? How is the fit, comfort and wearability? Is there any gap between the rubber strap and the wrist, like there is between straps for AP watches?Would really appreciate pictures as well!! Have tried it on at the AD but unfortunately as they cannot cut the strap, I have no idea how it is when appropriately sized..Appreciate that the Nautilus is universally lauded as being more iconic, but if the Aquanaut offers much greater comfort, that might just swing me towards it..Thanks all!!
Some help? 533, 531, 351
Hey guys,Its been a while since posting but the watch bug has bitten again. So tried to stay away from the Pam's. Checked a Rolex GMT Master II but it just doesn't suit me for some reason, I love seeing them on others but not me. AP 15400... strange looking on my wrist but might be because I have seen the 15300 in the wild and that is a better size/proportion.I used to like the IWC Spitfire 3878 but after trying on a 1950's Luminor case... I really want one.So I am torn between the 531 and the 533. The 351 is kind of a semi distant 3rd, mainly because I find the titanium too light for a PAM :)The tobacco dial and gold hands are lovely though. So the 531 has me at 24 hr traditional GMT, like my 297, however it is quite similar to my 297....The 533 has that lovely 10 day reserve and I have really enjoyed the 7days the my IWC Portuguese gives me. I also would have loved to have the 270 back when I got my 297, but funds were a different situation back then.I do not really plan on selling t
