World Watch Report 2012
The World Watch Report is a very important survey of online activity for the luxury watch industry. I am also a contributor to the annual reports and would like to share with you some interesting excerpts from the 2012 edition of the World Watch Report (WWR). The survey looks at a range of brands that are considered haute horology brands, and creates analytics and graphs based on a lot of information that they gather. Hands-On: The Peter Speake-Marin Bi-Tourbillon
Peter Speake-Marin is introducing a new member of the J Class collection this year and it’s called the Bi-Tourbillon. The watch is a technical tour de force, featuring a pair of vertically aligned tourbillons linked by a spring clutch system. The Bi-Tourbillon is a nod to the rich history that ties Peter Speake-Marin to the tourbillon, a complication that accompanied the first timepiece to bear his name (a pocket watch in 2000). We got our hands on the watch in Basel last month, and there’s a healthy amount of recognizable Speake-Marin style in the new watch, as well. 1 OF 2 The Bi-Tourbillon is reminiscent of the Vintage Tourbillon we saw from from Speake-Marin back in 2005. The two watches share similarly styled bridges made of German silver, and a baseplate with perlage and ruthenium plating serving as a backdrop on the dial side. bullhead rallye dial on custom designed olangapo rally band....
love the bullhead....i got it when i saw how a daytona looked on my wrist....nuff said.....however, the omega band is a bit light, not substantial enough and too short really for my 8 wrists....(i wonder if wrist sizes correlate to....oh never mind.... :) ) so.....jaffy jurado at olongapo bands in the phillipines made my design of this custom band for the bullhead....and I'm stoked with the results....id appreciate others opinion of this also...the bullhead is a heavy watch, which i like, and this band controls it....i find i like a bit of looseness, but not spinning around my wrist and i like to adjust depending on my wrist circumference variations....

Seamaster Chronograph on my wrist
I'm posting a thread about an Omega on the Rolex Forums? Yup.While I am close to getting a Rolex, I decided that I would still purchase a chrono that I've been quite interested in for some time now. The Omega Seamaster Chronograph.Starting in less than a week but lacking the funds to buy a Rolex, this Omega will be the watch to accompany me to 29 States as I do a job for my employer. I'm very impressed by the build quality of this piece. The lume is incredible, the time keeping is definitely SOSC and if I were to compare this watch to another brand/make it would be IMO the Breitling Chronomat series. My boss who is a diehard Breitling guy had to admit that this watch is a pretty nice example from Omega, who he makes constant fun of. I may have planted some doubt in his mind I don't however like the pins in the bracelet and would prefer screws on this but I can live with that. So, here it is in a quick shot from my SLR.
