Zenith's New Lacquer Dial El Primero Offers A More Refined Take On A Sporty Classic
During the week of SIHH, Zenith took over a palatial suite at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva, where we were shown an addition to the brand's iconic El Primero lineup. The new model features a lacquer dial, in either black or white (both equally attractive options, if I may say so myself). The fact that this model commands only a few hundred dollars more than its non-lacquered counterpart makes it a worthwhile choice for anyone with a penchant for in-house movements, refined sporty design, and modern watches with respectable lineage. 1 OF 6 First, let's take a quick look at some technical aspects. Inside the 42 mm (x 12.75 mm) stainless-steel case is Zenith's in-house El Primero 400 B, a self-winding movement that features 50 hours of power reserve. The movement measures 30 mm in diameter and contains a column-wheel chronograph mechanism as well as a date function (visible through an aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock). 2 OF 6 Caliber El Pr

i'm currently have a AP GP and now dilemma to trade in to novelty rose gold ? Ti Michael Schumacher...or ....? The reason why I want to let this GP go is because i feel the red and yellow dial is too sporty look. Does the SS Pepsi look cheap?
Hi ladies and gents, don't know if this was discussed before... (mod, if so, please close) Last night me fiance was freeing up storage space on my work phone (its an iPhone and I hate that thing - that's why I have no clue how it works ) and she saw I had some pics of the new SS Pepsi on it. She asked me if I liked it, to which I replied that I already signed up for it/put my name on 2 lists. Her comment: Why? It looks absolutely cheap. I said: It doesn't, wait till you see it in person. While I usually don't care too much what other people think, this made ME think. I have to say that I've never seen the WG version, which has the same bezel, in person. So what do you think? Is my fiance right?
Joined the Black Bay Club this morning.
This just arrived. Joins my small collection incl Bond Seamaster, SubND, Exp I (2016) and this beauty. Purchased the Seamaster in early 2000 and it's been on many climbing trips so it's been relegated to beater status. Needed a watch with a bit of color. This one is a beauty. Happy weekend everyone!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
