Linde Werdelin Introduces Oktopus Moonphase
Linde Werdelin’s new Oktopus Moonphase is powered by a Frdric Piguet movement (caliber 1150) and with a moonphase complication built by renowned Danish-born independent watchmaker Svend Andersen. The complication depicts seven phases of the moon with photorealistic Super Luminova discs. The moonphase complication is built on the date function to also provide a countdown to the next full moon, read on the moonphase dial. The titanium case features a rose gold bezel and dial details. A sapphire crystal case back reveals the Frdric Piguet movement and the rotor bearing the LW and AG (Andersen Genve) logos. The watch has been tested to a depth of 888 meters and the helium escape valve at 9 o'clock ensures the watch endures the pressure during resurface time. The Oktopus Moonphase is limited to 29 pieces, connoting to the days before the next full moon, and priced at $21,700. It will be available for delivery in the fall 2010 on LindeWerdelin or from any LW authorized retailer.Tec
Breguet Reine De Naples 8958 Cammea Watch has remarkable quality
Her collection has many remarkable quality, but most remarkable is the A.-L.Breguet created in 1812 to play a built-in thermometer spring watch. This is called a watch to open up the work: the people used to watch through the observation of their time on the dial to understand the times, A.-L.Breguet created for the Queen of Naples, the world's first wrist Watch.
IWC or AP
If you have the choice between an AP Millenary 4101 and IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Watch which one will you pick?
Water resistance of the Speedy Pro
I am considering wearing my Speedy Pro on an open ocean boat trip for 10 days. Can it withstand getting wet, humidity, shallow immersion and constant exposure to salt water? Any thoughts?
This or that? 5726 vs. 5711
Apologies in advance for another this or that thread, but I am having horology nightmares as I try to close in on something..... Only one place to turn at this point. I thought my mind was made up on the 5711 and now this morning for some reason I started thinking this might be a mistake. All last week I was browsing annual calendar references and I think it has gotten to me. I don't own anything beyond a date complication. I own a 5167A that I have not been wearing a ton (I have been going more and more to the AP Forged Carbon Diver for a rubber strap). Anyway, here are my thoughts:5711 (blue dial)1. Most gorgeous blue dial I've ever seen.2. Slim and elegant.3. Hard to find, but easy to resell if I go nuts down the road later which has been known to happen. 5726 (charcoal dial on bracelet)1. Dial options are meh.... in my humble opinion. I would get the charcoal and would get it on bracelet. 2. Beefier case which is a pro for me personally.3. Will finally own a complicated watch but
