Hands-On: The Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geospheres Vasco da Gama
The Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères Vasco da Gama was originally announced in January, at the SIHH, and it was pretty much the center of attention at Montblanc’s exhibition – with good reason. It’s a major showcase for everything that represents how Montblanc sees itself as an haute horlogerie watchmaker – a complicated, very high-touch, painstakingly well-made exercise in concept-car horology, but one that reaches far back into the history of watchmaking in order to keep itself grounded in tradition. It also reaches far back into history, period – it’s part of a group of watches in the Heritage Chronométrie Collection that are named for the Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama, who was the first European explorer to successfully round the southern tip of Africa and make his way to India and back. 26400IO 44mm - Who owns one? Thoughts? Strap Options?
Was never originally a fan of these till I tried one on in person. Not only is it light because of the titanium but it really pops in person. Really a pleasure to wear. Stock images can be deceiving.Keen to know how long you've had yours and if you have other straps and what colours. I'm still a bit undecided on the brownish / greyish strap.(Too few posts to upload a pic sadly).
What does H and N mean at the back of watch?
Hi All,there are 2 sets of numbers at the back of AP watches: NXXX and HXXX.may i know what do they stand for? N for Movement number and H for case number? Thanks in advanceCheers
I Have a G Series Rubber Clad on the Way, Where to Buy New Strap? Pics Once its Here
I have a Rubber Clad on the way. Hopefully this time it will be authentic (for those of you that saw my last post and thanks again for pointing out the replica through the pictures). Pictures will follow once it's here, hopefully today or tomorrow. The band was replaced with a Hornback strap but it shows wear near the mounting pins on one side. Where is a good place to pick up a new or used in good condition authentic AP (possibly hornback again) strap for a somewhat reasonable cost?
Ap's in NYC.........
