Late last year, our trusty producer, Will, and I had the joy of traveling to Germany to visit the folks from NOMOS Glash��tte �C a brand that is no stranger to us at HODINKEE, or you, as readers of HODINKEE. NOMOS is a small independent watch brand of roughly 260 employees based in Berlin and Glash��tte with a very simple goal �C to make (mostly) in-house, affordable, and well-designed wristwatches. No quartz, just good old-fashioned well-made movements that range in cost, for the majority of the collection, between $1,500 and $4,000 �C a noble goal if there ever was one. We know all this, but I wanted to know more, so that in detail, I could answer the questions "who or what is NOMOS?" and "how do they do what they do?". 15400 Blue Dial
My wife and I stopped by the factory boutique at Taipei 101 a week ago and put down a deposit (was told need 30% for the purpose, so I put around 35% for a round #) for a blue dial 15400. Was told it will be sometimes mid-2019. Yikes!! Also saying that if there's a price increase next year, the price will be based on the price at pickup.I don't mind the wait, but right now I am just hoping AP won't pull a Patek and jack up the price by 20%+ like what they did with Nautilus..

5960a on a rubber strap?
I've been toying with the idea of trading a couple of my watches in for the steel 5960. I think having the option of leather and rubber straps would also be great. I've seen pics of the watch on a leather strap but none on a rubber strap. Any steel 5960s on a rubber strap out there?Cheers
