Man Finds Original LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm At Phoenix Goodwill Store For $5.99, Sells It For $35,00
It's every watch collector's dream: to find a super-rare and valuable watch for sale for almost nothing at a thrift shop, estate/garage/car boot?sale or flea market. For Zach Norris, the dream became a reality recently when he walked into a Phoenix, Arizona?Goodwill store looking for a used push-pull golf cart only, to stop by and dig through the store's watch basket on his way out. Inside the basket filled with?Fossil watches with dead batteries (most priced around $15 according to Zach) was a watch,?face down, that caught his interest. The dial said "LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm." The price? $5.99. 2 OF 12 Zach knew the LeCoultre name and knew the watch was made by Jaeger-LeCoultre and probably was worth far more than the $5.99 price, but he didn't realize?it was a?vintage LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm from circa 1959 worth over $35,000. Panerai Winding
Can you over wind a Panerai watch? I have heard that the Rolex models take 60 winds for a full charge and cannot really be over wound. How many winds to fully charge a Panerai and is it possible to over wind one? Considering the PAM111. Thank you.
Hidden factors in picking the right Rolex.
Closing in on my first Rolex and I've not really narrowed down which reference I really want, if anything the references under consideration only keep growing!I know from some of my other interests (cars, clothing, even cookware) that sometimes what you THINK you want isn't actually the one that will give you the most satisfaction. So my question is: are there things in your life that you should consider that will impact the kind of Rolex you might like? For example I work a lot in offices, I'm a creative person, I dress with some flair but pretty casually -- does that perhaps mean I should consider X Rolex rather than Y? What are some factors that you hadn't considered that ultimately did affect your satisfaction? And just so you know, I'm actually kind of enjoying not being able to pick a Rolex. So many to choose from!!
