Swatch Sistem51 Watch - Cool New Styles For 2015
Swatch Sistem Cream SUTM400Everyone's favorite fully robot-produced mechanical Swiss watches - the Swatch Sistem51 - is back for 2015 with five new styles that add to the original Sistem51 collection. Swatch debuted the exciting Sistem51 model range back in 2013 (here), but it was not until later in 2014 that the Swatch Sistem51 hit all markets such as the United States. These new for 2015 Sistem51 collection watches offer more traditional looks with the entry-level "100% Swiss" automatic mechanical timepieces.Swatch was very clever to introduce low-priced $150 automatic mechanical watches as a way of getting more people into wearing mechanical timepieces. Swatch continues to produce and sell mostly quartz movement-based timepieces and the hope is that people will "graduate" to more luxurious Swiss watches (of course, according to Swatch, ideally within the Swatch Group brands). With an entry-level mechanical version, this becomes more of a reality, since people who have mechanical wat
Talking Watches: With Jean-Claude Biver
We are breaking our own rule with this one. When we launched "Talking Watches" last September, we did so with the express desire to bring you, our readers, the true collections of true watch lovers. That meant we would never feature anyone who has ever been paid by a watch manufacturer in any capacity – essentially, no ambassadors, no matter how big of a celebrity they might be. And as the following for TW has grown, so has the level of interest from those who would benefit from a mention in this series. But we've remained pure, showing you only real collectors, who truly love the watches they buy – and the man you'll meet today is no exception. But, there's a twist.Today we're talking with Jean-Claude Biver. If you don't know who Mr. Biver is, I'll tell you. He's the current director of timepieces for the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) group. That means he oversees not only Hublot, which he bought, built, sold, and then direct

What is this Breitling?
Hi All,I recently purchased this nice Breitling manual wind single pusher chronograph. I've been trawling forums to try and find a similar model but with no luck. The case size is 41mm.It looks like an early 40's model, maybe a precursor to the Chronomat? The dial has been restored from what I can see.Kind regards,Paul
Dust in SMP movement?
I have a new SMP 006 sapphire caseback and noticed a piece of dust or particle stuck on the edge of a piece of metal right underneath the hairspring. Since I look at the back all the time, it's new and didn't see it the day before. How the hell did it get there? I better take it to an Omega boutique and have them remove it before it disappears deep into the movement. Is it this easy for dust to get inside the caseback?
