Three months ago I sold my Rolex Sub C Date, a watch that almost never left my wrist for the two-and-a-half years I had it, for quick cash after buying a new Harley and realizing something had to go (I know, life is tough..cough..cough...ahem). Since then I've had watch-lust; longing for a fine timepiece on my wrist. A few days ago I satisfied the lust and visited my trusted Rolex and Omega AD and got a Seamaster Professional Diver

Patek 5146 vs 5327
I normally don't post much, but a relative recently asked me about a few different Patek models, and so I wanted to ask you guys for your thoughts. Here are the 3 models he's considering:5146/1G-001 (bracelet model)5146R-0015327G-001So I know it's hard to predict what will happen in the future, but he's wanting to know which one would be more collectible (holds better value, harder to find) in the future if he wants to pass it down to one of his kids/grandkids. He'll probably wear the watch only occasionally. I don't know much about Pateks, but my initial thought is that the 5146 (any metal) has been around for a long time and will be easy to find in the future. The 5327 is a new model, has a beautiful blue dial, but not sure if its production is limited. I also realize the 5327 is double the price of the 5146. Any thoughts about these models?Thanks,Brian

The Available AD Inventory Thread
I thought it would be nice to start a continuing thread where we can alert other members if there's an interesting/hard-to-get watch that's up for grabs at an AD. I'll start: there's a black Submariner Date, black GMT-Master II, and TT Skydweller with a black dial at my AD. They're in the Bay Area, but will ship tax-free. I'm not sure what the forum policy is on stating the name of ADs, so just PM me if you're interested.
