Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon Watch
This isn't the first tourbillon watch by Jaquet Droz, though it is the most elegant. A simple concept, this Grande Seconde Tourbillon takes the standard figure 8 dial design and inserts a classy looking tourbillon into the seconds dial. The resulting look is gorgeous and the tourbillon has a neat secret, but can you detect the amusing irony of the watch name? The original Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde watch was named as such because the seconds dial was placed in the larger part of the figure 8 style stacked dials. That is why it was called the "big seconds," because that dial was larger than the dial for the hour and minutes. ROO Diver Strap hole position
Anyone wear the short strap version and on the second hole? I find this the most comfortable for me, it is a little loose but okay. The third hole is tight especially after my wrist expands. I recently ordered a new strap for my Rose Gold AP from and authorised APSC here in the UK, at this stage I'm not going to name them until its all resolved. As I want to give them the opportunity to put this right.A few weeks after placing the order I get a call to advise that my strap has arrived and if I swing by to pick it up the watchmaker will fit it for me. So far so good. The next day I swing by the store to collect the strap watch safely in case with me and am told the watchmaker is off sick and someone else can fit for me from their watch shop, at this point the gentleman standing behind the counter who wasn't looking after me piped up and said that he could fit it for me instead. I queried this as I didn't feel comfortable and he said that he would have a look and if he felt he couldn't do it he would leave it alone and we could revert back to the original plan.He took my watch to a back of
Is it safe? !!!
