DeWitt Twenty-8-Eight Regulator A.S.W.
At Baselworld 2010 DeWitt debuted their first in-house movement – Caliber DW8014. This year the movement will appear in an all-new watch, the Twenty-8-Eight Regulator A.S.W. The automatic-winding movement boasts notable technical features at each end of the gear train. The mainspring is wound by a bi-directional peripheral rotor that allows an unobstructed view of the movement. The mainspring itself incorporates DeWitt’s patented Automatic Sequential Winding (A.S.W.) system which allows the single barrel to distribute constant energy to the gear train while delivering a 72 hour power reserve. At the other end, a Straumann balance spring with a Phillips terminal curve powers deadbeat seconds that are in direct contact with the tourbillon cage.Outside, the watch pays tribute to Art Dco design, and in particular to 1930s New York. The 46 mm round case is made of 18 carat rose gold. The multi-layer dial is dominated by a four-column vertical structure with the tourbillon at it
Henrik Stenson's Royal Oak Offshore Prototype
Has anyone seen Henrik Stenson's new prototype Royal Oak Offshore? Thread on purists pro this morning, but wanted to see if anyone here had heard anything. Looks to be a new chronograph with white ceramic case. I really like the looks of it from the few pics I've seen.Link with a shot if it: .golf/henrik-stenson-w...ots-long-day-0
Why couldn't the 5205R be a little bigger?
I have never been so conflicted about a watch after buying it - love dial layout and moon phase. But it wears so small. Here next to my 39mm 1815 Chrono. Even the 38mm 5396 has a bigger dial than the 40mm 5205 (but don't like the layout as much). Have a good offer to sell if I want to move on. Hate to give up a beauty but not sure I can get past the size on my 8 wrist. Advice?
My Submariner Lunette Verte Ceramic
Last friday (3/9/18) I received a call from an AD telling me that they just received the SD43 and 116610LV. A week earlier, my sales rep had called me to say that they had received a SD43 but when she checked on the price, it was sold while I was on the phone. I took no chances this time and immediately drove 20 minutes down the 5 south to Mission Viejo. I tried on both but the Lunette Verte was calling my name, I put it to a vote and the LVc won 3 to 1. My 5yo daughter cast the sole vote for the SD43As this was my first Rolex purchase, I didn't realize how hard it would be to get one. I visited many of the ADs in Socal and 3 in Vegas. Have you purchased from us before, We're no longer taking names on the list, or Those are for preferred customers became all too common. Your personal jewelers were not so personal. South Coast was no bueno. I must commend my sales rep, despite having never purchased from them, she actually took down my information and called me when they recei
116610LN Flip Dilemma
Hello TRFStill a newbie, but find this forum super helpful. Sorry its a bit long..So a couple of weeks ago my AD called me and I bought a new 116610LN in time for Valentines. Happy days. It was bit of a surprise because when I signed up in December they told me I was #11 in line.. Turns out my wife, thinks the Ceramic bezel is too shiny. I am not going to wear it, preferring a steel bezel (EXP II shout out) and I already have a SD43 (very proud).Ultimately am in looking for a new beater (not a sub). I would consider trading the SUB for a new EXP II but want to see what comes out of Baselworld in March (Probably confusing the issue). The Question is should I flip now or wait? Looking at chrono24 they dont appear to be moving and some users are reporting Subs in AD display cases. Looking forward to anyone's piece of mind.
