Finally decided I want my first PP and need advice
Hi Gents, I want to get a Patek and I will be getting from my friend that buys, sells and trades watches for a living. He sometimes trades me a piece for a piece or more, and often times I need add cash. My dilemma is I'm desiring a trade of several watches that allow me to avoid adding cash. My pieces I have to give up are 16520 patrizzi daytona on its bracelet(serviced last month by Rikki), a well faded 16753 head, an original parts 105.012 1965 Speedmaster, a 1939 original, in collectible condition Stowa b-uhr 55 mm navigation watch serviced impeccably. I own some other unremarkable pieces and not adding one Rolex because if i did, I'd have no more Rolex (so pretend I never mentioned that) With my offer of those above pieces, am I able to get into my first Patek? Is there any chance I can get a PP by subtraction of any piece in the list?I truly want one Patek in my collection that I can keep, and my only option I have to get one is by the suggested trade pieces listed.I'd really
Patek why would you..........
Make a luxury watch where the strap has to be cut without any instructions?????????????????I took the watch to a local watchmaker who told me he knew what to do.I don't know how despite all my care and attention this could have happened.Suffice to say, the strap was cut by the watchmaker way too short, and I don't know when a new strap will be available, when I will get it back. This is just a total disaster.Apart from that there were spring bar marks on the underside of the lug that looked like they came from the factory. And what's more the movement doesn't hack. What else could go wrong!!!Have a good weekend.
A good old shot
of my first brand new Rolex I've got in 1999.
