SIHH 2015 Preview: Richard Mille RM 33-01
For 2015, Richard Mille introduces the new RM 33-01, powered by the skeletonized RMXP3 caliber. This watch offers the striking good looks of the RM 33 Extra Flat, with the added convenience of a date display. In typical Richard Mille fashion, the movement is something to behold. Most manufacturers produce primarily round watches, and shaped cases are the exception to the rule. Richard Mille takes the opposite approach, but then this brand is anything but traditional. From the launch of the brand's first watch, the RM 001, it has been known for bold, tonneau cases, with the more conservative round and rectangular cases providing styling counterpoints.?The Richard Mille RM 33 Extra Flat, from 2011, is a striking piece, but what to do if you prefer a date display? Now those who fancy the RM 33's looks can have their cake and eat it too. The new RM 33-01 adds a date, discretely tucked away at 7 o'clock to preserve the balanced, symmetrical look. The round case may be traditional, but the RM
Mhle Glashtte SAR Rescue-Timer Review
For those of us that love watches, Glashtte has special meaning. This small town in Germany contains a few of the greatest watch brands currently in operation, brands that seem to achieve horological feats that other brands worldwide can't quite compete with. On one hand, you have a brand like A. Lange & Sohne making some of the most epically complicated, finished and expensive luxury watches, and on the other you have Nomos, who make the most accessibly priced watches with manufacture movements. And while these brands, and one or two others, might get the most attention of those in Glashutte, there are several others there that also go above and beyond to create exceptional timepieces. One brand that we here at worn&wound have always enjoyed, but seems to go under the radar, is Nautische Instrumente Mhle-Glashtte more commonly referred to as just Mhle.Mhle has a very long history as a manufacturer and as a family in the region, having been in one form or another for 5 ge

Omega Master Co-Axial
Reading through ABTW's article (for the second or third time) on the new Seamaster AT Master Co-Axial (.ablogtowatch/omega-se...watches-hands/), I cannot get over how impressive the new Master Co-Axial movements are and Omega's goal to bring these new movements to all of their watches (that have the in-house movements, of course) by 2016. Although 15,000 gauss anti-magnetic resistance isn't the the most useful feature, I think it is a step in the right direction in terms of bringing mechanical movements into the 21st century and definitely the right move for Omega. Does anybody else feel the same way? Honestly, I'm surprised that there isn't more talk about this. The thought of a Speedy 9300 Master Co-Axial just makes my mouth water. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Omega comes out with in the next two years. Ok, enough of my rambling.
