Cool new purchase
Not an AP but when I saw it I had to have it The champagne my wife wanted....Said if I got the Katana blade beer tap she was going to buy a lot of bubbly.... Needless to say... that didn't stop ME! Makes a good watch stand don't you guys think? It would be better if I owned a Ginza
Grinding noise when I wind my SM300
I just purchased a 1969 SM300 that was supposedly recently serviced. I notice friction when winding the watch and hear a light scrapping sound while winding. I have more modern Omegas and never noticed this issue. None of my automatic vintage watches have the same drag effect when winding them.I would appreciate your thoughts...James

Pam061. Thoughts for a first Pam?
The more I look at Panerai's the more I seem drawn to the Ti models. Not a fan of the all polished cases that a lot of the SS versions seem to have. I like the small seconds of the 061 & 177. I also think the tobacco dials are neat and a little different. Currently I own a 16610LV sub and a older TT datejust so I feel like I have the dressier side of things covered and was thinking adding a Pam Ti model to my collection would cure my need for something a little bigger than my Submariner. Thoughts, advice, ect. Greatly appreciated
New Panerai
So I took the plunge and flipped my 214270 Explorer for a PAM 00024 Luminor Submersible. I found the Explorer wasn't getting as much wrist time as it deserved and I realized that I picked it up more because of its history and classic looks than it being something novel in my collection. I emailed DavidSW and set up the trade in about an hour's time. I will hopefully have it in hand by tomorrow and will post pictures once it arrives. Now time for my questions. I was able to source myself a rubber accordion dive strap with buckle to replace the one that comes standard with the model. I have heard only negative things regarding its comfort. I am looking to additionally pick up the OEM Panerai strap that comes with the PAM 00510 model. I think it's called Luminor Vintage. Does anyone have a good resource other than scouring the classifieds here or do I need to walk into a Panerai boutique?I am open to any other recommendations or suggestions from Submersible owners.
