Don't go with Titanium!
Hi all,I was in Hong Kong last week and went to an AP AD whilst in town to compare prices with London. When in the boutique, I noticed the Titanium Themes (26170TI.OO.1000TI.01) and immediately asked if I could try the watch on.I've read elsewhere that no one does a grey dial like AP, and based on my experience with this watch in person I wouldn't be bold enough to disagree. As expected for the case/bracelet material, it was phenomenally light for its imposing size - I'm still undecided as to whether this lightness is a good thing though! (I like the idea of feeling like you are wearing a watch!)I didn't purchase the watch whilst in HK, however am seriously considering sourcing a top notch pre-owned model from somewhere in the globe... maybe even using my newly-purchased DSSD to part fund (buying two watches of that calibre in the space of a few months is probably not the wisest of choices, I figure)...What do any/all you ROO lovers think of the grey dial and Titanium case/bracelet?I l
Omegas...2 or 1?
Hey All,I own the Speedy 9300. I am considering selling it to obtain a 45mm Planet Ocean and the older 44.25mm Speedy Co Axial. Don't want to go in any $$ and the Moonwatch is just too small for me.So do I sell the 9300 to get both a PO and a Speedy CoAxial? Or is the in-house movement worth keeping just one piece? Thanks,
speedy pro....chrono hour off?
Has anyone noticed that the hour dail of the chrono (the dail above 6 clock) is a bit off? The minute hand is dead on and will jump in 1 min increments. For every 60 mins (2 complete turns of the min dial), the hour dial should move up by one hour. I noticed that that hour dial is ahead but approx 7 mins meaning that whenever the timing reaches 53 min, the hour dial will indicate that 1 hour has already elapsed. Anyone else have this problem?
Introduction - Question re: Vintage 96
Hello all i've lurked here for a number of years - i wish i would have bought some vintage rolexes back in 2013 when i was really actively looking at some and registered here!(currently on a two-year list for a 116500LN)I want to get a vintage patek 96 to dip a toe into the vintage patek game. I know it's small but i actually am enough of hipster-wanna-be to be able to wear it i think. Also with the bigger crown, 18mm strap and vintage nature it clearly looks like just an old watch to me as opposed to something elseAnyone have a 96 and would care to share whether or not they've been happy with it?Thanks!FA
Here I go again... I need to move to where no rolex is available
Ok figuring I have a sd4k and a 16610 that are cosmetically similar and already have a Kermit if I want a 5dig sub fix I decided to go back to one of my favourites that I parted with a while ago.So I traded my sub for a platinum Yachtmaster to mix it up a bit lol! Now I've truly got a mix of Rolex's to choose from Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
