The Story Behind Wryst Watches
Sponsored PostIn 2012, watch designer Jacques Fournier started his own watch brand named Wryst, after years of creating some of the most innovative modern watch designs under his company Horology Design, for brands aimed both at the mainstream as well as the ultra-high-end market. Born and educated in Switzerland, Fournier later moved to France and eventually to the UK, where he currently lives.Wryst was born out of Jacques' passion to create his idea of the ultimate lifestyle sports watch with a design that had never before been attempted. Wryst timepieces are mostly priced at under $1,000, but retain a sense of refined European design with a contemporary attitude intended for those watch lovers who share his aesthetic vision. He explains the story of Wryst watches from conception to concept below. Why do you design watches and how did you get into doing so?Jacques Fournier: At a young age, I was spending a lot of time looking at luxury timepieces in watch boutiques in Geneva or anywhe
Review: Seiko 5 SNK803K2 Military Beige
I first became aware of the Seiko 5 series while aimlessly meandering the watch pages of Amazon. At the time, I was happy to have found some humorously cheap Timex's to buy and fool around withI guess I was just having one of those "I need to buy something" moments. Regardless, when I came across a set of very nicely styled military automatics, made by Seiko, that cost just under $100 dollars, I knew I stumbled upon something great. Fast-forward a week, I received my Seiko 5, unboxed it and was immediately pleased with what I saw.Case: Sandblasted Stainless SteelMovement: Seiko 7S26B 21 Jewel Automatic with Day/dateDial: Beige w/ Black Markers and Luminous DotsLens: HardlexCase Back: Display BackStrap: Beige Double Layered Nylon w/ Steel BuckleWater Res.: 10atm (100m/300f)Diameter: 37 mmThickness: 11mmLug Width: 18mmWarranty: Store SpecificIn true military watch style, the design of the Seiko 5 is very purposeful.? Trade DSSD and POC for AD Diver
Need some opinions please. I have an opportunity to trade my DSSD black dial and my Omega POC on bracelet, straight up for a year old AP Diver SS. Both of my watches are mint, and bought new. I really like to Diver, but the thought of scratching it up or even wearing it daily cause me stress. I don't baby my watches, but I am pretty careful not to damage them. Had a PAM 233 that I had to stop wearing because I felt it was to delicate for my lifestyle.Any thought would be greatly appreciated.
Submariner help please.
Evening all. I am seeing the pictures of the 5 digit subs and getting a bit broody. I have a bit of hesitation as I didn't like the clasp when I had a 2 liner and sold it. My GMT 16710 is amazingly comfy and great clasp and the sub clasp seemed too big. My other wares are PP 5712, Sub C LV and 16710 Pepsi. I bought the black bezel to scratch the itch and have more versatility but it just it's the same. Photo below. Please advise with loads of photos!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
