New Xemex Piccadilly Chronograph Watch Makes Minimalism, Less Minimalistic
With Basel World right around the corner, pictures of new watches are beginning to leak out. I am happy that Xemex, one of the watch companies I've enjoyed the longest, has a new offering. From industrial design to haute chic, the Piccadilly Chronograph takes Xemex in a decidedly more designer direction. Not a bad thing as minimalism and style blend well for the Xemex Piccadilly. The Piccadilly is not the first chronograph offered from Xemex, but I would argue this model looks the most comfortable in terms of design. Previous Xemex Offroad or Avenue models featured chronograph iterations, but this model, using a Valjoux 7750 with an excellent design is arguably the most beautiful yet. A new feature for Xemex are the polished chronograph registers within the otherwise matte finished face. This is an excellent way for the user to differentiate reading the different registers, but at the same time not distract from the legibility of the main hour and minute hand. Xemex was clever enough to
Advice on 15202 vs 15450 blue dial
Hi,I understand that this topic has been beaten to death but I needed some advice. As mentioned in other posts, I had a 15450 silver dial which wore a little small, at least in my eyes, on my 6.25~ inch flat wrist. I sold it in 2017 and got on a wiatlist for a 15202 at my AD. I have just been told by my AD that they don't expect to get the 15202 anytime soon. So, now I have the option to put a deposit down for either a 15202 (expected delivery in June 2019) or a 15450 blue (expected delivery later this year). Both options are only available at an AP boutique.Regarding the 15202, I have tried the watch twice at AP boutiques and felt it wore a little big on my wrist. There was no space between my wrist and the stiff links of the bracelet around the case. However, I didn't get the feeling that it is a perfect fit. So, now I am in a conundrum. Should I go for a slightly small 15450 or slightly big 15202?For reference, wrist shot of my earlier 15450 and three wrists of 15202, taken at diff
Anyone experience? AP stop working :(
Not sure if I am unlucky or it's just unrealiable...Had a brand new volcano previosuly, bought it brand new and stopped working after 1 week, sent back to authorised dealer and got a refund back coz I am not willing to wait for 12 weeks to get it repaired. Now it happened again. Bumblebee completely stopped after only 1.5yrs. Sent back to service centre, claimed that 'oil runs dry' and have to wait for 8 weeks to collect it back. Luckily it is under warranty, otherwise it is another unncessary cost. Been telling myself....this could be the last time I go close to this brand.
