Chronographe Suisse Mangusta Super Meccanica Stupenda Watch Available On James List
Very rare (at least in the US) is an interesting little watch brand called Chronographe Suisse. With a name like that, you imagine that all their watches need to be chronograph's right? Actually, I think they all are. The brand releases pretty well design stuff, but suffers (in my opinion), from an interesting flaw. The designer(s) there have some fetish for short, stubby hands. Look at all of their watches, and you may agree, the dials are to big for the hands, or the hands are too small for the dial. Though given the loveliness of the designs, I might have to live with that flaw once in order to enjoy these watches. Here is one of their interesting watches with a rather long, Italian-sounding name (though this is a Swiss brand). This is the Chronographe Suisse Mangusta Super Meccanica Stupenda watch. And it is 'stupendous!' Yea, the dial is a bit of a mixture between Chanel and Omega, but that is OK. Others have even copied this design. The thin hour markers and hands combined with th
Ap ro 15300 - uk
Hi all,Not sure if this is the right place to post or not but im looking for advice on reputable watch resellers in the UK.Im looking for a AP Royal Oak 15300 ST and have read many threads on here where members have given advice on keeping eyes out for good used ones. Thing is I don't really know where to start looking.Im based in the UK and have tried WatchFinder/Iconic Watches/Chrono24/Blowers Jewllers etc but there must be more places to look/keep an eye on.Please excuse me if im not meant to ask this kind of question but I cant see anything about it in the stickies. Alternatively tell me where to read up more on here.I have also posted in the Wanting To Buy Section too. Thanks for suggestions
PL 8500 Question
I am ready to pull the trigger on the 8500 XL PO watch. My question though is, why does the one with the rubber strap (w/ orange stitching) differ from the one with the metallic bracelet which is supposedly made of the new liquidmetal and stamped on the back of the skeleton back which is not adorned on this model. Do I need to wait for the latest and greatest still?
How I managed to purchase a 5711 from an AD in 2 weeks
Hi,I thought I’d share my experience of how I managed to purchase a 5711 last August from my AD, waiting only 2 weeks...I’ve been a customer of my local AD for nearly 15 years, from my mid 20’s. Back then I bought my first watch; a Panerai 104. I then went on to purchase a Rolex Milgauss. And later on I purchased a Jaeger Geophysic. So, whilst I bought a few mid level watches, I wasn’t a big spender by their standards. Nonetheless I took the decision on each occasion to only go there.Over the years I built up a good relationship with the same gentlemen who served me every time I went in. The truth was I wasn’t doing this over the years to be “smart”. I was simply doing it as I liked having just one AD who knew me and gave excellent service.Last August I decided to go for my next watch. I walked in to the AD and asked about the Royal Oak 15202. As I half expected he told me this is a boutique edition only, so he couldn’t acquire it f
Looking for Input From the Patek Experts
Hey Gang, I'm looking to buy a used Patek (from a Forum member) which is dated 2012 and received service work from Watch Check in the Philippines. I went to the Patek Website and couldnt find them as an authorized Service Center. I did see however they were an Authorized Service Center for IWC, Breitling and Panerai. The Work Order Included a Restore of the following:- Scratched Crystal- Scratched / Dented Case- Scratched Clasp- Replacement of StrapTo the Patek experts on the forum, would you be comfortable purchasing a watch that had what appears to be just a cosmetic restore of the watch from this service center? Also, should I care that the watch was polished? Thanks in Advance!
