Casio opens a new MT-G door with a hardcore techy looking watch that steps in the room punching and glistening with impressive watch-ular (new made up word) curves. The new model MTG1100-1A looks like the love child of Robocop's cybernetic innards and an industrial crane. Just looking at the dial it is hard to appreciate all that the watch does, or it. It is easier to take the piece apart by function or feature to fully appreciate a watch like this.First, the MT-G watches in the G-Shock line have always been close to the top in terms of quality and durability. They are really only topped by lines such as the MR-G, that have cases done in DLC. The watch has a number of "hidden features" that aren't so much functions, but make the watch that much less something you need to worry about. It gives me the opportunity as well to discuss again the Casio "Tough Movement" (on the watch as "Tough MVT"). These can be found in some newer analog Casio watches. This got delivered last week but I'll spare you all the unboxing etc.26400AU forged carbon novelty.Always been a fan, always wanted one. I thought about the ceramic version for a good two or three weeks but at the end of the day I couldn't justify the price difference. (I do love ceramic though... My ceramic diver is my daily wearer)I always thought as an owner of the Ginza these two would be too similar for the same collection but after seeing it in person I believe it is an entirely different animal. It definitely wears large and in charge. One thing you don't get with ceramic is how the grain looks in sunlight and the weight is light and comfortable as forged carbon should be. 5 month old gray market Pam 90 not keeping time
I bought a brand new Pam 90 BNIB from a trusted brick and mortar jeweler on August 31st of 2016. I recently downloaded an App called toolwatch and checked the timing of my 2002 Y serial (probably never serviced) Two tone Bluesy Submariner, New Breitling Super Avenger 2 and my Pam 90. The other two are within COSC specs but the Panerai seems to be off by 50 seconds or so. Now Im wondering if Im not measuring properly because of the small seconds hand in the 9 o clock area of the watch (tried a few times and never within COSC specs). I have the unfilled warranty card and everything that came with the watch including the 3 boxes etc. Can I take it to the local Panerai Boutique and have them check to see if its running within specs?n

On the hunt for a BLNR in Japan
Hi all, am heading to Tokyo on holiday next week and on the lookout for a BLNR while I am there. I heard a rumour that there are no waiting lists in Japan and so I might be lucky enough to find one at an AD if by chance they have had a recent delivery? If not I can apparently pick a new one up on the grey market - although I should expect to pay at least $1000 USD above retail? :O can anyone confirm this?Thinking this might be one of the few opportunities I get to be able to purchase a BLNR as I'm not high rollin' enough for the dealer in my country to prioritise me on the waiting list (sometime in the next year) am also concerned they might discontinue the batman next year OR WORSE bring out a new model on a jubilee that can't be changed a la the new Pepsi.There seem to be a hell of a lot of AD's in Tokyo - but would I be wasting my precious vacation time hitting up the AD's on the off chance they might have a BLNR in stock at retail?Or should I just bite the bullet and head for the n
