AP Divers
Haven't posted very much to this forum, but have been reading for a while. I bought a 15202 steel last year and am thinking about adding a diver. I have been looking at the white/blue boutique only dial that launched in 2017. Apologies if this has been discussed at length before, but what is generally considered the taxonomy of desirable AP divers? The crazy colors from this year and last year seem too much to me. But what is considered the canonical example of a modern AP diver and how does something like the white/blue version fit in? Is the ceramic significantly better? Any thoughts appreciated. Quick intro
Hi all,I just realized I never properly introduced myself to the forum. My appreciation for watches started with a Timex Ironman I was given for one of my childhood birthdays.A grad gift from the old folks - an Omega Aqua Terra 8500 - acquainted me with higher end watch brands and my pocketbook has been paying the price ever since.I'm active on one of the other boards, but haven't been contributing much here as I wasn't part of the club. In part, the it was the Rolex stigma that kept me away - i.e. the perception that most owners buy them primarily as a status symbol - as well as the ubiquitousness of the Submariner. However, I've since become better acquainted with the other models, including the under-the-radar 16570 which I just purchased NOS. Now if only I can find a NOS 16600.....Looking forward to participating in the forum!
Omega PO Chrono 9300 on a strap
My PO Chrono 9300 45.4mm came with a bracelet.I want a rubber strap with deployment buckle.Anyone here done this? Please show photos of what you have.TIAEmil
5205g, size ok?
This is a 5205g on my wrist. Ok or too small? Please be honest, as I have not pulled the trigger (and will not be able to do so for at least a few more months). Sorry for the crap picture, but the AD sales guy was not too happy with my attempts to photograph.
Potentially dumb questions about the Datejust 41
Hey everyone, 1st off, I just recently joined this forum and I'm impressed with the caliber of decorum/courtesy/helpfulness here. Who am I? Basically a kid in his mid-40's who has been a long-time Submariner fanatic. My question is kinda odd so please bear with me... I never took a liking to the DJ until the new SS DJ 41 debuted at Basel last year. Since then it's been on my drool list; it seems my taste is evolving, either that or I'm just finally getting old (ha!). The thing holding me back is whether or not it's wearable with really casual outfits: T-shirt, jeans or shorts. I'm talking REALLY casual, I never - and I mean never dress up. I rarely wear collared shirts or polos. Any feedback would be appreciated. That damn blue dial haunts my dreams. If I may throw in a second question, jubillee vs oyster bracelet? Once again, I'm worried the jubilee might bee too dressy with super casual wear, but I could be wrong. I know all of this is subjective, but please indulge me, thanks.
