Glashutte Original Senator Diary Watch
New from Glashutte Original for 2010 is the Senator Diary watch. What is it? Basically a mechanical alarm watch that can be set up to 31 days in the future as opposed to "tomorrow." It has an in-house made automatic movement with the time, date, and the unique alarm complication. What is the "diary" part of the watch? You can whisper your hopes, dreams, and celebrity crushes to the watch - and it will never share your secrets with anyone else.See my Glashutte Original Senator Diary watch article at Haute Living here. Man Finds Original LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm At Phoenix Goodwill Store For $5.99, Sells It For $35,000 (Plus An Omega Speedmaster!)
It's every watch collector's dream: to find a super-rare and valuable watch for sale for almost nothing at a thrift shop, estate/garage/car boot?sale or flea market. For Zach Norris, the dream became a reality recently when he walked into a Phoenix, Arizona?Goodwill store looking for a used push-pull golf cart only, to stop by and dig through the store's watch basket on his way out. Inside the basket filled with?Fossil watches with dead batteries (most priced around $15 according to Zach) was a watch,?face down, that caught his interest. The dial said "LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm." The price? $5.99. 2 OF 12 Zach knew the LeCoultre name and knew the watch was made by Jaeger-LeCoultre and probably was worth far more than the $5.99 price, but he didn't realize?it was a?vintage LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm from circa 1959 worth over $35,000. According to the price tag, the watch had been put out for sale the previous day, January 16, and although Zach had left empty-handed in terms
I finally let the 5650 Breathe!
Today was the day to open my Advanced Research 5650. I was surprised this watch was an application piece and even more shocked when it was approved. The certificate, like the 5575, came with my name already printed on it from Patek Philippe. The 5650 is a totally different animal from the 5164. It feels like three or four times the weight giving it a different vibe. It is a beautiful watch! Here are the pics comparing my 5164 and the 5650 along with some outdoor pics. Rolex Yacht Master 37 everose gold
Good Afternoon, I am considering buying a Yacht Master 37 everose gold.I have been offered a 2016 model with box and papers for 12,950.00 would you say this is a reasonable price? also is this watch likely to hold its worth? Thanks for the help.
My first Rolex purchase....
Hello all, I'm a city public school teacher, run a couple non-profits where I mentor youth, and I grind the 1/2 and 2/5 seen in holdem and pot limit omaha. The first two pay me spiritually, and the later has been good the last couple months, so I have found it's time to fill the poker grinder stereotype and get a nice watch since card rooms never have a clock.Below is my first potential Rolex purchase. I know a little less about Rolex watches than I do kangaroo birth, so much so that I had to type Rolex watches because I can't figure out the plural of Rolex. Can't be the guy who says shrimps, am I right? *pics removed*The person claims that it needs the mainspring fixed on the second hand.My questions are:Does it seem legit?Who should I bring it to to fix it? Any watch smith or do they need to specialize in Rolexessss's?What would a fair used price be for this? Thanks for anyone who reads this!--
