A Riddle and an Update
When can a speck the size of a grain of sand stop the presses at ? When it materializes in the editor’s kidney. So begins the story of my ill-fated trip to Baselworld 2010. I arrived at Zurich airport on March 16 feeling pretty well, but by the time I had my train tickets, the stabbing pain had started. A doctor visited a few hours later at my hotel in Germany. He dispensed some pain medication and I hoped for the best, but the next morning things were worse. I ended up spending about 5 days in a German hospital where I received excellent care: in all about 15 x-rays, 4 or 5 sonograms (three administered by specialist doctors), and a CT scan, plus several visits each day and night from nurses, and plenty of medication. I generally felt the center of attention. Test results were consistently reported within a few hours. Without getting into politics, I appreciated the opportunity to experience a European health care system first hand while the health care debate raged back home. O

I did it. Second Patek in a month
Well I just got my second Patek a few days ago, a 5167. Got my first one a 5711 less than a month ago. I would say it's some kind of record, but I know these forums are filled with many sick individuals, so I'm sure it's no big deal for most of you. I started a thread a few weeks ago asking your thought between having the Nautilus, Daytona C and a submariner vs an Aquanaut. I ended up buying the aqua without seeing it first in person. When I got it, it blew me away. It's waaaay better than what photos show, I just love it. Now I have to sell the SubC. Here are some quick photosSent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Introducing the all new 729 titano
So.... my wife and are on vacation and Florence is the last stop. Of course, we HAVE to stop into the Panerai boutique to see what's what. What do you all think? Just released last week and not on the web site as of yet . The 729 is a 45 45mm titanium duo model. Some may not be fans of the new case size or the movement, but it feels like velvet on the wrist. Should I? The delimea is that one must go and it would have to be the D blue or the Sd43. I need to hang on to one Rolex though . . Price is 10700 e ....Pictured next to my 690. I'm so sorry but I didn't get the defence number but the reference with the silver dial is 13500 E with a rise gold movement . Again new in the last week. So should I???Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk
