Breaking the Mold: 5 Offbeat Watches from Baselworld
Contrary to popular belief, Baselworld is not just a steady stream of tourbillons, chronographs, and watches that are mostly black. The show does play host to some individualists who create watches that are outside the mainstream. Some are newcomers, and some return year after year, reliably delighting us with their unique vision. We take a look at a few of their creations. One of our favorite newcomers this year is Breva. The brand's watch is the Gnie 01, a stylish and original mechanical mini-weather station for the wrist.Breva was founded by a young entrepreneur named Vincent Dupontreu. Born near Paris in 1977, at age 11 he was selling bracelets at the beach, and at 13, skateboard ramps. At 22, he launched an eponymous fashion brand which he sold seven years later. After he earned an MBA in Switzerland and ran an art gallery, his desire to own a unique timepiece, and his inability to find just the right one, led him to launch his own watch brand. Is it rebairable???? (((Pics))))
Hello my friends been while since i last post here, recently i bought an AP ROO navy blue I serial from 2014 and although the watch was used but its in good shape. Couple days ago ive noticed 2 things that botheres me and would lile to know if its rebairable 1) in the pics i focused with the louple in the area above the chrono pusher under the rubber ring there is a dent and although its too small but gives me hard times and my question is is it rebairable by laser welding at AP service center AND would it ever leave mark OR be an weak spot in the case??2) also above number 2 inside the glass i saw a piece of dust + on the rotor also spotted 13) finally the chrono ring between 90 and 100 i saw some kind of orange colour but iam not sure what it is exactly!!The dealer i bought the watch from confirm that the watch never been opened and frankly speaking i did not see any sign of opening the caseback or bezel not even the holes in the sides, does it count as a manufacture flaws or is ther
Sub No Date V Tudor Black Bay
So how do we justify spending the difference, and choosing to buy a 114060 Rolex Submariner No Date? Here is the answer?.ablogtowatch/rolex-su...ck-bay-review/For what it is worth, I did before I read this, it just confirmed that I had made the right choice?
Most Stunning Dial independent of the watch itself?
What are everyone's thoughts on the most stunning dial on any Rolex independent of the actual watch? If it was just the dial under the crystal without any actual watch attached, my choices would be ice blue; sunburst blue from TT sub; olive sunburst green from dd40.But my top choice would be the d blue. I know to some the watch may be to thick so I am just talking about that gradient dial and green writing. When the light hits it all at once it pops to this amazing burst from blue to black in a high gloss finish. Through the crystal it appears as if you are looking through the lens of a telescope spying an earth like exoplanet in some distant galaxy. The symbolism of shifting the deepsea to below the watch as if you are watching Cameron's ship dive deep below somehow fills me with delight and awe every time the sun pops it.
