My AP Clearwater Service Review With Pics
I recently needed to send my SS AP ROO 44mm in for warranty work. I dealt with Lindsay at Clearwater from the beginning. Very nice and very professional. The problem I had with my watch was a tear in the rubber strap which has never happened to me before on any of my rubber strap ROOS.. Even more weird is it was happening on the very last hole and I don't wear my strap on that hole. So I contacted Clearwater and sent some pictures. They said they need to see the watch. I was told If it's not covered under warranty, then I will have to pay for a $100 shipping kit (which covers shipping round trip) and I would have to pay something like $400 for a new rubber strap if I decide to replace it at that point. Defect here:I explained to Lindsay I have had the watch for only 1 year, it does not have 1 scratch on it, literally brand new condition, being it doesn't find much time in my regular rotation... So I hope when they see the condition of the watch, they will do the right thing and cover u
Strap recommendations for AP ROO Silver Themes aka Panda
Hello. Surprised I didn't see another thread about this.I finally snagged a watch that I've been after for awhile - the AP ROO Panda. Mine came on the black croc hornback which unfortunately is too short for me (only measured 105/70 which is crazy).Other than the croc hornback and bracelet, I wanted to see what others were wearing. Both OEM and aftermarket suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
bullhead rallye dial on custom designed olangapo rally band....
love the bullhead....i got it when i saw how a daytona looked on my wrist....nuff said.....however, the omega band is a bit light, not substantial enough and too short really for my 8 wrists....(i wonder if wrist sizes correlate to....oh never mind.... :) ) so.....jaffy jurado at olongapo bands in the phillipines made my design of this custom band for the bullhead....and I'm stoked with the results....id appreciate others opinion of this also...the bullhead is a heavy watch, which i like, and this band controls it....i find i like a bit of looseness, but not spinning around my wrist and i like to adjust depending on my wrist circumference variations....
Omega Speedmaster Mk II
I tried this new model on a few days ago. I currently have a Speedy Pro so I was very keen to try this one. Well, I could buy this particular one for about $ 4,300What I thought was nice:Everything about the dial, it is pefect for me.Bracelet is brushed and looks really great. The quality and finish is excellent. What I do not like:Thickness, its diameter to thickness ratio is not ideal and looks too fat.The date adjuster on the left side is not a deal breaker but why is it required on a watch like this? The styling of case, but I guess it is supposed to look like this. The lack of lugs needs a bit of getting used to.How to make it right:Make a titanium version that is 2mm thinner
