Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Deadbeat Watch
It is funny how trends develop in the watch world, especially for relatively high-end, obscure complications. Once strange and relatively unique, the dead beat seconds complication is having a veritable renaissance perpetuated first by the more hip independent watch makers and now entering the mainstream of high luxury timepiece creations. over polished speedmaster mkII? with pics
only got this today as realy fancied one but looking at pictures of others i can find i think someone has polished the heck out of the case as it looks too smooth and rounded? the pics i can find all look like they have crisper sharper edges or is this just how some are supposed to look?
White Metals
garner interesting opinions. Some think them to be too cold, while others think they are very cool.I think it would be very cool to obtain a platinum chrono piece (perhaps a pre-owned ALS Datograph or PP 5960P/Blk dial) to join the other two white metals I have. Then I could have a trilogy of metals. But in the meantime, I shall enjoy the other two white metals - steel and white gold & appreciate them for what they offer.
