100% LED Concept Watch Will Be Available For Purchase Soon
A while ago this interesting LED watch was being displayed as a concept in Japan. I talked about it here in my excitement. Myself, and many others got really excited at the concept - though it had a few questionable characteristics that seemed to keep it from being practical. The big issue being power consumption, that I did of course mention. 100% even did exactly what I suggested they do, and that is display the time "on demand." This way you can maximize battery life by only displaying the LED lights when you want to see them (by pressing some button most likely) - saving battery life. Not sure where the button is going to be placed though. What is so cool about the design is that it is not really a watch, but a bracelet - one that has a hidden display for the time. The concept was very cool and I am happy that it will be available for sale soon. There has been no date announced yet but it should be within the next few months. Just joined the AP Club!
Just got my first AP - a ROO Panda! Watch fits great, wears comfortably, and I think will see lots of wrist time... Thanks to the members here for great information and pictures while I was deciding what to get. Been looking to consolidate my collection for a bit now, and over the weekend went from 9 down to 5, picking up the Panda and credit towards a potential future 15400...Only question I have is whether the AP GP blk/red strap will fit on a bracelet watch?
Luminescence
What does it take to get your Royal Oak's luminescence going in the dark? Does the luminescence get charged just from wearing the watch during the day? I'm particularly curious about the new 41MM watches 15400/26320, but I wouldn't be surprised if the answer's the same for the 39MMs.
Question about Panerais with no quick date set function
By no quick date set function I mean that you need to turn the hour hand 24 hours for the date to change... I have this on my 233 and 305. Can we move the hour hand backwards to get to the date sooner or could this damage the movement or date function? I've always just gone forward but sometimes that's a PITA when you have to go through 20+ dates.
Rolex GMT 16700 - Hit or Miss?
Dear all...Since your are all very knowable people, and Im a bit to spontaneous, I would like your help to either calm myself or simply to try to save eventually losses. Yesterday I got feeling and bought a complete set 16700 from 1990 for 7000USD. The impression I got from the lot was that the watch was in god standing (not over polished if polished at all). But did I overpay?
