Rolex & Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Car Show
One of my favorite places in the world is the Monterey Bay area along the central coast of California. I've regularly traveled to Monterey and adjacent cities such as Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach since I was a child - perpetually enjoying the natural beauty and particular events found in the region. Each August, "Classic Car Week" fills the streets, hotels, and almost every venue, with people coming to town for the Concours d'Elegance, as well as related events which are all about celebrating (as well as buying and selling) beautiful and distinguished automobiles. For quite some time now, the official sponsor of the Concours and other events, such as that at the Mazda Speedway at Laguna Seca and the Quail Lodge show is Rolex watches. Keep Chrono running
Love my new Speedy Pro Moonphase as daily wearer. The fact the chronograph second hand obscures the moon phase (at 12) is bit annoying but I also find the static second hand can be a distraction when telling the time. I prefer 1) a moving hand or b) to stop the chrono second somewhere else on the dial and leave it there (not helping seeing the time issue but at least making the moon phase visible). Will either letting it run continuously or stopping it away from 12 have any impact on the movement?Excuse if discussed before - cannot find a link via search. Many thanks

White dial PAM
Love white dials and have been seriously looking at 660 and 1499.Prefer 44mm hence above two models...and NEED a secs...cannot check a pulse without one!!!!Price difference is obvious but I have a 329 and love the case.In house / display caseback etc are all positives for me.But is the 1499 WORTH $3000 + premium.Am able to get tax free as heading overseas in July....Would appreciate any thoughts / advice.
Bottom Feeder
It is so Great for a Bottom Feeder like me to grab an occasional scrap that comes my way. Some of you folks are in a unique position to buy a Rolex like I would buy a pair of shoes. Thank you so much for sharing your Beautiful Watch purchases with the rest of us. For some of us buying a Rolex is a once in a life time event. So many thanks for your inputs, that help us in our decision makingas we do not have the luxury of buying another if we make a mistake !
