SS Skydweller waitlist
Called to be put on a SS Skydweller waitlist in the first 5 minutes my AD opened afeter Basel. I have bought 4 other Rolex from this AD this year including a PM GMT2. I check in with the AD (Mayors in Florida), every couple of months, but no joy so far. Does the SS Skydweller have the same type of backlog the Daytona had, or should I be calling other AD's?
GRAIL or FAIL?
I was thinking about the first Rolex I ever owned (DJ 16220) and that it wasn't what I expected after yearning so many years. The sports models scratched that itch eventually but I was wondering how many others out there got that grail piece then realized it was more of a fail ?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Incoming! New watch day
So after tossing and turning over which model to buy. Out of the Milgauss / OP 39 Rhodium and 16570 I decided to go with a brand new 114300 Rhodium. I think it will compliment my 16600 nicely whilst adding versatility This is my first brand new Rolex, just took the stickers off today and will have perpetual anxiety over scratches haha. But here it is! Thanks to everyone for all your help and suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New or Pre-Owned?
Hi all,I have no doubt this has been covered but can't seem to find in a quick search. I am now in a position and committed to buying my first Rolex. I have decided on a Submariner but with only two AD's here in New Zealand I am somewhat restricted with supply. My initial choice is the 116610LN which retails at $12,100NZD but comes down to $10,800 if I take advantage of picking up at airport when I go on holiday (tax off). However the wait time is around 6 months. I am off to the States in Feb and have came across Bobs Watches who offer a large selection of Pre Owned watches. For the same money as the above I can secure a two tone 16803 (1985/6 model) which looks stunning and as good as the current model at twice the money. What are your thoughts on buying a 20 year old watch in comparison to a brand new one? Thanks in advance for all comments.
