Ceramics - 44 and Diver?
I have an AP 44 ceramic and find myself coveting a black ceramic diver also. I'll be interested in views on whether having both in a collection is redundant. And from any member who has or had both CEs, which got more wrist time?I'm not going to miss any meals if I buy another AP, but would then really need to force myself to hold off on getting a couple of Rolexes I've had my eye on, or on getting a RG 44...even if just to convince myself that I don't have a problem!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New to AP woes... PR issue
Any fellow forumer currently wearing the AP safari range has issues with the PR?I got it new and after wearing the full day from 10am-11pm.. The PR seems like not really working that strong as specs. Didn't wind it thou.Day 2 : Called up APSC, Was advise to wind 50x before wearing and that should support the PR for 50hrs (+-) then when wearing movement of wrist should power the watch as well.Did exactly told, PR still is like few hours, took off watch ytd at around 8pm. Watch stopped at 6am.. Day 3 : did a manual wind of 55 turns. Timed the PR. Wind at 3.20pm watch stopped at 4.10pm.Moment of truth, will servicing resolve this and will it happen again
Thinking Patek 5726 or 5711r. Push me one direction.
I've got a decent collection of Rolex's and now I've gotten the Patek bug. I know the 5711 in stainless ain't happening so I've narrowed it down to the 5711r or 5726 both on bracelet. I'm kinda torn because I want an annual calendar/moon phase (hence why I'm looking outside rolex) but also eventually wanted something rose gold in my collection. Prices seem to be all over the place, I don't plan to resell, but if I buy from a trusted seller which one would I likely lose less on down the road? Or should I get on a wait list at an AD. I know the rolex game but Patek is new to me, your input is appreciated. My current collectionAll rolex.Hulk (green face stainless submariner)smurf (blue face white gold submariner)Green face yellow gold gmtCeramic Daytona white faceDay date 40 yellow gold black face diamond stick markersWould be adding to this or possibly sacrificing the smurf.
A Patek that everyone loves?
With all of the differences in opinions on newer Pateks including the limited pieces, perhaps we should reflect on an older model that everyone seems to love!
5726/1A - White Dial or Grey Dial?
Hi Everyone, it's my first Patek post in this forum.I was looking to get an everyday use Patek that doesn't stand out too much so thought a steel Nautilus would be best. And sort of settled on a 5726/1A with the steel bracelet because I thought the Annual Calendar function would be useful. I am in two minds about the grey or white dial.. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help...Cheers
