Two Omegas - Zero Rolex
After flipping a lot of watches the last year (mostly Rolex) - I settled for two Omegas - and I couldn't be happier! (Even as this means, I have no Rolex for the moment)Both has been restored close to mint, by my local watchmakerSeamaster: 1959 (all steel, alligator strap)Speedmaster Pro: 1978 (GasGasBones strap)...one for everyday wear, and one for dress(Graphic and photo by me - except sailboat, and moon surface of course)
Prefer 5065 to 5167
Am thinking about another Patek to join my 5711, and it seems the Aquanaut would be a good choice (also thinking about a Annual Calendar Moonphase 5396G-011).Anyone here has a 5065 instead of the 5167 and willing to show some wrist shots? I prefer the dial much more. Also, is there anything about the 5065 you dislike?
Price increase again in September?
Just bought a 5270 and a 5711 (white) few days ago. My AD told me there will be a price increase of x% (he not sure).. So since he got the stock and I am in the market, I seal the deal first. Better be early than to be sorry since the same guy sold me the 5712 just before the price hike twice since I done the deal with him. So, anyone heard anything? Or this is a gimmick to close a deal? Either way, i bought what I like. Cheers! Jen
Was it easier to buy Rolex sports model back in 70s to 90s?
Just wondering was it difficult to buy a sports model e.g sub, gmt, Daytona etc back in the 70s to 90s period as compared to now? As many of us know (and get frustrated), it's quite difficult to just walk in into any AD now and buy a SubC due to stocks 'shortage'.
