Hair puller...
Hi there !I went to my local AP store to test and feel a Royal Oak Chronograph, silver dial.It was $23,000 and something (I forgot)..., anyway, I was very happy with the weight, looks and finish, way beyond from what I'm used from Rolex. It was all good and dandy untill I wore the watch, you swing sideways and up and down your arm to make the watch confortable on the wrist until 'ping!' A stinging sharp pain on the wrist, and another one, and another one ... The sales person knew I was in pain due to my bulging eyes look and quickly added, I know, is and issue with that bracelet, it does pull your wrist hairs, but, we also have the same watch with the leather option or you can wear it and wait until it pull the hairs that are on the wrist and then you will be fine of course we are friends and these were jokes only meant for me! The hair pulling thing for me is very real! By the way, another gentleman browing another brand looked at my scene there said I know, I also have hairy arms, I h

Question about Speedy Alaska Project
Hey all.First time posting in the Omega forum, and I was hoping to get some opinions from owners of the Alaska Project Speedmaster.A local AD has one in stock, and unfortunately I didn't have time to look at it. I haven't been in this shop in years, and was just passing through to see if they had a Speedmaster Pro in stock, which they do. I'm hoping to get back sometime this week and get a look at their selection.Anywho, as an everyday watch, on the bracelet, how is the AP watch? I do a lot of driving, and if it's the middle of July, and the sun is bearing down on me, when I take a quick glance of the watch, would I see the time easily, or just get a glare off the white dial? I remember reading a comment back in 2009 on the other popular forum that all it would be good for is to sit and look pretty, and the white dial would make it useless as an everyday watch. Does anyone have real life daily experience with the watch to belie that statement?Any opinions would be appreciated.
Flaw Tolerance
Hi guys,I'm looking to find out what is considered Acceptable when bringing a watch in for Warranty. I recently purchased my 116710LN from Hong Kong and my fellow RSC Canadians here at Rolex Head Office Toronto have done a very good job with my watches. (As you can see with my macro shots of bracelet resizing and lug work) However, I still have another concern. My lug at 5:00 had excess metal (0.1-0.5mm) that can be seen under certain light. (Check out the inner lower right lug):https://imgur/KVRaf8DToday, I brought it to them to see what's up, and within 20 minutes, the polished the excess metal off. I was very surprised when I took out my OCD Glasses and took a look at it. The excess metal were taken off flawlessly. https://imgur/41D9QJMMy concern now is that upon further inspection, I see that the inside of the lug (where the Solid Endlinks Meet the Lug) has a micro chip, probably related to the excess metal at the 5:00 lug. It can really be seen when the solid endlinks are pushed do
Basel 2018 Platinum Sub
Out of curiosity how many of you would be interested in the release of a Platinum Sub this year? This is my grail and I want to imagine its going to be released at some point soon . I'm imagining it with that dull red face that's been posted on the forum before. No doubt the price will be steep but how steep?? $65-75k? I think this would be the only watch that could make me part with my Smurf. Oh well, I'm normally disappointed in the Basel releases so I'm hoping for a surprise this year. If not, I will just continue to enjoy my Smurf because IMHO it's the perfect watch for a guy that wears the same shirt, shorts and flip flops every single day! I've been approached only on a single occasion from a fellow WIS who said nice watch, really nice watch . I like the whole stealth thing with this watch and I imagine the Platinum Sub will be the same.
