Sinn Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition Watch
German Sinn timepieces are really hard for us tool watch lovers to resist. Often stalwart in their new products, over the last few years they have been a bit more trendy and playful. While I don't know first hand, I have a feeling that the Bell & Ross success was a major eye-opener for them. Back in the 1990s when Bell & Ross began, they were basically selling dual-branded Sinn watches in a new distribution method. It was basically like selling the best tools in a hardware store, but now in a department store. Bell & Ross has since come a long way, but their roots in offering plain and simple instrument watches hasn't changed much.I've noticed Sinn starting to offer more limited edition models, especially those that play into the vintage watch theme. Here is one such limited edition model that will surely appeal to Sinn and vintage watch lovers. This is the Chronograph Tachymeter - and is sort of exclusive for the German market (though anyone can get one). The Chronograph T
Angular Momentum Phenakistoscope Watches - Memento Mori & Little Devil
This Halloween I'd like to present you with two creepy watches from Angular Momentum. Creepy yes, but in a more subtle "Swiss way." The one that creeps me out most is the "Little Devil" watch - with images of a maniacal looking infant laughing over hell fire. But let's get back to the "phenakistoscope" part of the name. The hell is that you ask? Well this was part of early animation. You'd take some type of cylinder or ring, and place images on it that if seen in a quickly moving sequence, would appear to the eye to move. Please be aware that unless this watch is operating terribly wrong, the disc with the sequential images will not move fast enough for you to see the animation. Rather, it is a wrist watch style homage of these early forms of animated entertainment. The disk moves around the dial once each 12 hours - slowest animation ever! The watches are each 40mm wide in steel "time gallery" style Angular Momentum cases. In addition to Little Devil, there is the Memento Mori watch -
New ROO Navy vs Newer One
Well, I read in some thread that AP has changed the shade of blue; but couldn't locate it again. Anyway, it's actually true. Here they are side by side. I kind of prefer the old one. The newer one is a tad pale to my taste. What do you think?
Confused upon which AP to buy.
I have decided to get an AP for my birthday but am not sure which one to get between the two I have chosen. These are the two I have chosen. My dilemma is I like the look of the first one but it only comes in Quartz whereas I really want an Automatic which only comes in the second one. Help!
