Watch In The Wild: Hublot King Power Gold Unico
Contributed by Anish BhattClick on the images for larger versions. Not much can beat a warm day, a nice new watch and a good camera! We don't get too many of the first part in London, so when the temperature reaches anywhere over 20 degrees Celsius it's best to take advantage of it!Our model: Oliver Knowles wears a single breasted suit in Alfred Brown wool, tailored on Saville Row by Timothy Everest. Cufflinks are by Mulberry, tie by Drakes and shirt by Hawes and Curtis. Grey and blue always seem to go together pretty perfectly. The cuffs are tapered well and?the blazer creates a good shaped silhouette from shoulder to waist, which accentuates a gentleman's physique. Someone once said a woman sees a man in a well tailored suit in the same way a man sees lingerie on a woman...some food for thought. Notice small details like the dimple at the top of the tie where it meets the knot...a lesson in the finer arts of male attire.Wristwear: Of course the watch must be the centre of attention, a
Christopher Ward Trident C60 GMT 600 38mm Review
Not too long ago, we announced that Christopher Ward had totally overhauled their Trident C60 line. A line that has been a staple of their collection; their go to diver. What they released was pretty exciting too, at least on paper. Multiple new versions, many colors, quartz, mechanical, etc… All but the quartz now boasting 600m water resistance and ceramic bezels, two features that make them contend with much higher priced options. So, we went with the Trident C60 GMT 600 – 38mm with burgundy bezel. With a smaller case size and dual time movement, this provides a very different experience from the last one we saw. Coming in at $1,100, the new C60 GMT is priced higher than the previous vers
The Restoration Of The Girard-Perregaux Caliber 350, The Most Important Quartz Watch You've Never Heard Of
Quartz. We pretend it's not there, but it defines the modern world of watchmaking. And yet, once upon a time, it was the new kid on the block an unknown quantity whose influence had yet to be felt. We're very pleased to present to you one of the most important and influential watches you've probably never heard of: the Girard-Perregaux Caliber 350. Our watchmaker-in-residence, Aaron Berlow, takes us inside this groundbreaking movement, which influences quartz timekeeping design to this day, and shows us what makes it tick. Ed. Asking many watchmakers what they think about quartz is like asking a die-hard American conservative what they think about government regulation. There is a visceral hatred of this technology that was both so much more accurate and so much cheaper than mechanical movements. It very nearly turned Swiss watchmaking into American watchmaking (that is to say, obsolete.) This disdain has led to some amazing innovations and some incr

I pulled the trigger on this to ease the depths of anticipation. I've had my eye on the 1499 for about a year. The white dial just got me! Still eagerly awaiting my new green friend.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
