Top 10 Watches Of Baselworld 2015
Baselworld 2015 came and went seemingly faster than previous Baselworld watch trade shows. Maybe that is because team watches-dealer met with so many brands, hour after hour, for a solid week. By our records, we formally met with about 85 watch brands in the hopes of capturing as wide a scope of what is new in the watch world as possible. That includes meetings with the big boy luxury watch makers such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, TAG Heuer, Breitling, and many more that represent most of the world's high-end watch makers, as well as meetings with more mainstream producers of timepieces such as Bulova, Citizen, Seiko, Casio, and Victorinox Swiss Army. More so, we took the time to learn what smaller independent watch makers were doing to innovate and add variety to the world of not only mechanical timepieces, but also some interesting new electronic and smartwatches.Team watches-dealer at Baselworld 2015; from left to right: David Bredan, James Stacey, Ariel Adams C with Mark Carson
Ludovic Ballouard Upside Down Watch
Watch maker Ludovic Ballouard presents his first self-branded timepiece, the "Upside Down Watch." A finely made high-end watch, the piece incorporates Ballouard's experience accumulated from working at brands such as Franck Muller and the very well-respected F.P. Journe. You can see elements of his time at F.P. Journe in his own watch, whose movement thematically resembles the work coming out of that atelier. Ludovic is an open fan of F.P. Journe, highly admiring the brand's work (not just because he spend a good amount of years there), and still often wears a F.P. Journe watch today. The development of the Upside Down Watch started a few years ago, and I wanted to wait until actual images of the watch were released before writing about it. I enjoyed the concept from the start. It is not overly complex, but it is satisfying, and technically complicated. There is a friendly richness to the design and complication that shows Ballouard is not only willing to have fun, also that he is not o
Wants to buy used 15202ST. Need guidance
Hi All, I'm new to the forum. Hoping you guys could help answer my questions. I stumbled upon this beauty (can't post image yet) last week as I was recommended by a friend and I'm really interested to buy the watch. I found huge scratch on the bracelets. Hoping I can find some answers here in the forum. 1. Is it good idea to polish 15202ST? Do you think it will lower its price value significantly? I know that some brands should NOT be polished at all, but I don't know much about AP. 2. Instead of polishing, is there any other solution? Is it possible to just replace that 1 plate of the bracelet? I don't mind a few dents here and there, but that scratch really bothers me. 3. Is it possible to replace the bracelet altogether? Will it affect it's values somehow? 4. Regarding the warranty, I was told that its 2 years warranty had recently expired just a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know, AP has 3 years warranty. Is this 3 years warranty new for certain models? The AP 15202ST was first

swirl marks on new 2 month old subC dial
2 issues here : swirl marks/micro scratches under the glass on the dial + dust/dirt speck stuck to the rehautI've read other threads, after initially thinking it was on the crystal, I'm now thinking it's actually on the dial. The other threads I've read also stated this was the case. Tons of tiny swirl marks (like you'd see on a brand new car) or fine polish marks/scratches are all over the dial. Every time I'm in the sun I see scratch marks.I noticed before but thought the glass was just dirty. I started to really look at it yesterday when I discovered there was a speck of dirt/dust stuck to the rehaut.https://imgur/a/nTwI5 (first pic is of the dust/dirt under the glass, its stuck to the rehaut next to the letter E to the left of it)The other 2 pics are of the swirl marks/micro scratchesOverall, I think this is pretty unacceptable and am pretty upset with both issues. Dust and micro swirls on a 2 month old watch! Purchased it brand new with stickers. My watch has never been opened. Wh
