HourTime Show Podcast Episode 7 - Our 2009 Holiday Buying Guide
If you are going to buy or receive any watches this holiday season you are going to want to listen to the latest episode of HourTime - my favorite podcast, because I and John Biggs make it.We talk about brands to buy, brands to avoid, along with some additional new watches not yet available. We offer some buying tips and have the inevitable eBay debate. John finds a way to continue his streak of mentioning the Orange Monster at least once per episode (everyone, take a drink).? Plus, you will always get our special form of productive humor and opinion. Enjoy.Listen to the HourTime podcast episode 7 here.
New 2014 Offshore Safari owners please help?
No worries. The watch is awesome.Just thinking if anyone here tried mounting the Safari on anything other than the brown hornback it comes with?Coming from a hot and humid country, I sure wish there's something nice I can change it to.I know many will say that the brown hornback + safari combo is the best. But just wondering what it will look like with other options. Thanks in advance.
Opinions on Speedmaster Date 3210.50
Hi AllAt some point in the first half of 2011 I am thinking of buying an Omega Speedmaster Date (model 3210.50) which has caught my eye of late. Can members give me honest opinions on this watch as to its quality, reliability and value for money etc.TIAM
A Question for Canadians
Hello All--I am looking to purchase my first watch internationally and have narrowed my choices down to an Omega Seamaster SMP 2254, Planet Ocean 2200.50, or Rolex Sub. Okay so here's my question directed to Canadians, or those whom can provide some insight:What were the costs incurred (if any) for importing these timepieces into Canada? How exactly are these costs broken down? And as a first time watch buyer, are there any other considerations that should be taken when cross-border buying? BTW, I intend to have them mailed to me, or else I would buy one and wear it back up.Forgive me if this subject has been covered extensively in the past--this is my first day on the forums.
Omega question.......
As a Rolex owner I must profess to not knowing a lot about current Omegas, although I do own an oldish (80's) Seamaster.I am very attracted to the Constellation line but need a bit of info, which I can't seem to find on the Omega website. Can anyone explain the difference between a Double Eagle and an ordinary mechanical Omega chronometer?I can see myself with one on my wrist before much longer, but need some insight, to help me make the right choice. Thanks, from the dark side...........
