Hands-on with the Smiths/Timefactors PRS-36
Reverso, shmeverso. ?Forget limited editor Jaegers with fake agency logos. ?If he could, Don Draper would have strapped this Timefactors' new Smiths PRS-36 to his wrist as he handed Jean his whisky and walked into his next pitch. ?Slide the 36 out of its zipped, padded case and this watch looks to have come straight from the era of single-breasted suits, narrow ties and three Martini lunches.Making a modern watch with vintage style but without vintage schtick is a challenge, and it's one Timefactors has managed rather well. ?For a start, there's none of the modern let's take a classic design, ram steroids down its neck and and put a strap on it!' stuff going on (take note, Tudor). ?The 316L marine-grade stainless case is a distinctly understated 37mm. ?It's less of a shrinking violet on the wrist though – it actually feels as though it wears slightly larger than a 40mm Breitling Aerospace. ?That's mostly down the way the cushion case shoulders step down to the lugs. ?It'll stil

Breitling 2010 offerings
just been on the site and had a look at the 2010 models, just wondered what you all made of the watches coming out this year.the galactic range have caught my eye especially the chrono version .it seems to me that the non chrono Galactic is still powered by the Breitling 13 movement.so no inhouse movement for these newer watches as with the bo1.however the newer dials have been influenced by the latter model.Seems to me that the Galacti range are a replacement for the chrono cockpit/cockpit which i aways had a soft spot for but never saw at any ad's!!what do you a make of their effort this year?
What happens to your watch if it stops
I have a couple of chronograph watches and try to keep the ones that I do not wear regularly wound up to keep them ticking over. Can anyone tell me whether it is bad for the watch to just let them stop?
Daytona Daily Precision
Hi this is my first post one this forum. Just picked up a 116500LN Black in the grey market, love the watch. I was just wondering how precise these watches are for actually telling time. I set the watch to the atomic clock and it seems to be running about 3-4 seconds slow per day , which doesn't seem like a lot but I see on the Rolex website:PRECISION-2/+2 sec/day, after casingI am hoping to also get a White face as well, but that one I am on wait list that for so could be a long time. Thanks
