Sponsored PostSotheby's is offering a varied selection of wristwatches, ranging from divers to rare chronographs in their Spring sale, taking place on 14th May, 2014 in Geneva.The morning auction will kick off with an array of modern Rolex Daytonas, which offer a variety of dial styles. The reference 16520 is well represented with two well-preserved watches, lots 34 and 35, featuring a floating Cosmograph dial. The so-called floating dial shows the designation Cosmograph with a marked distance from the Officially Certified line above. Another reference 16520 (lot 53) from a transitional period, believed to have been produced for one year only, displays a rare dial which does not include the Officially Certified feature.In the afternoon, vintage sports model wristwatches will be the stars of the rostrum. 15202 extra thin
Gents,Just looked through the 15202 tribute thread. A mistake. Anyways, this watch is very hard to locate as you all know. Did most of you guys buy sight unseen?I tried the 15400 - felt too large on my 6.5 wrist. Also tried the 15450, felt too small......but I'm sure trying that quickly after the 15400 at the same AD contributed to that small feeling. Anyways, want the blue. I know the 15300 probably rocks too but I'm really not a preowned guy. So that brings me to 15202 in the 39mm.I made the mistake of buying the VC overseas which has a similar vibe but is 42.. Flipped that shortly thereafter. Don't want that issue with the jumboThanks for reading

449 or 232?
would you trade 449 for used 232?why and why not?449 is in-house one of kind 2533 model232 is ETA based, no crystal case back, classic version with 12,3,6,9.....so my dilemma is what would you pick?thank you

Tried on the Daytone TT with Champagner Dial
Hi guys,I'm on the waiting list for my first Rolex, the 116500ln with the white dial - still got around 4 months to go. Already got two IWC's but in the past months, Rolex really grabbed my attention after reading into its history, achievements and current manufacturing quality. Anyway, being used to bigger sizes (42-43 mm), I feared the small wearing Daytona (38.6mm) would be too small for me. So I decided to try on a TT at the Rolex boutique as the TT has the same case dimensions as the DaytonaC. They had the TT with the champagne dial which at first looked a bit girly to me. But as soon as I had it on my wrist, I somehow really liked the way it looked - size AND color combination!So now I'm debating between getting the DaytonaC or the TT.. Best would be to get both :)
